Only checked my email this afternoon - but was out shopping in Kirkburton this morning and didn't see any posters. Will try and get details to dog walkers in Highburton as we know quite a few. Will also try to get details further out - has anyone let the dog warden know? There was a dog fun day in Ravensknowle Park today organised by Huddersfield Canine Association and the dog wardens and local rescue societies were supposed to be thereLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have made contact with Spikes owners and he has been checking with Marina kennels twice a week and also Springfield Kennels. I also gave him the number for Mount Pleasant at Hampole. Spike is a working dog and has dissappeared once before but returned the next day on his own. In view of the time he has now been missing the owner feels he may have been taken in by someone. He has also informed terrier groups that Spike is missing and he is going to do more postering locally.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have tried to contact Spikes owners to check they have tried Marina Kennels but no answer and no answerphone so will try again. Have phoned Marina Kennels myself about Spike and also missing Border Terriers from my area but got what I consider to be quite a vague answer !! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Spike well. Stay safe Spike, until you are home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
