- Try collar AND harness, with two leads for a while. Just until he is used to you and the area. Fantastic he has been found. Enjoy your new life together. x

- Best type of collar for him would what we used to call a double action slip collar, now seems to called a martingale collar. If properly fitted it is comfortable but will draw up just tight enough to prevent it slipping over his head. Also keep the lead clip under his neck. Collars get pulled off over the head, not from underneath. Glad he is safe, such a wonderful breed.
