Wonderful news! (Unfortunately it's not the only story this week involving problems with microchips and databases, though. She should have been home 4 months ago. Huge credit to Kit Wilson Trust for not giving up on her.)

ohhh, this is a truly tearjerking story :(
How wonderful that gorgeous Dusty is now Home, Safe & Warm & Well but how utterly heartbreaking to see the condition in which those evil thieves left her - how terribly they must've mistreated Her :(

What a fabulous result for Dusty and family.

Turns out that this lovely dog Moondust was stolen from Peterborough in 2013! She has now, thanks to the Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare who cared for Dusty after she was found in such a horrendous condition been reunited with her rightful owners after nearly 3 and a half years!
This is the post that was put on Dusty's Doglost page earlier today by our Admin:
"Well what a week it has been!!
For those of you that don't know the story starts in October 2013...... our beautiful dog Dusty was taken from us by thieves and despite a huge effort from family, friends and strangers alike we were unable to find her and as much as we hoped we had to accept the fact that she was gone forever.
Fast forward to this week and Paula received a call from the Kitwilson Animal Trust in Sussex to say they had been handed a dog from the dog warden and when they scanned her micro chip it was our Dusty........ unbelievable!!
Since being taken from us, Dusty had been severely mistreated, she was found in a weak and emaciated condition with sores all over her and with a severe skin condition, plus her rear hips and backend are collapsing after her ordeal. Collette, Sylvia and the Team at The Kitwilson Animal Trust nursed her back to health and we will be forever grateful for what they have done. We also would like to thank them for re-contacting PetLog after there seemed to be some kind of mix up in the PetLog system when the dog warden initially contacted them.
A long journey ensued as we raced down to pick her up and thank the wonderful people who had cared for her and got in touch with us.
Finally last night at around 7pm - after nearly 3 1/2 years - Dusty returned home to New Range!
She is now an old lady and can live out the rest of her years happily where she belongs!!"
Well done to all and it's great to have such a happy ending :)

Things can only get better for her now, I am sure if she isn't claimed she will get a loving forever home xx

I've shared the post to local pages on Fbk and my timeline. Our Dog Wardens say she has fox mange and she is looking much better already. We are very lucky to have such good DW's in this area.
Svend, Thanks for registering Moondust on here. I have added the photo of her with our DW's to the page so those not on Fbk can see it (pls refresh/reload page to see it) Hope that's ok.Last edited: 2016-10-20 23:29:54 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Either this dog has been out a while or an outside dog.
Just going by the coat has got a bit thick
Or maybe she just needs a good brush bless her
Fingers crossed
