Aww Great news :) Welcome home Miko.x
Ros-Shiba
I have asked him for further details, but not seen him since.
DogLostOwl
Is there any chance the neighbour could put his missing dog on this site as well? It is possible that Miko might be hard for a thief to catch, from what you say of him.
Ros-Shiba
Update.

Ok food is still in bowl, humane trap, empty. I spoke to farmer as he was doing the field and he seen nothing. I spoke to another neighbour who I havnt been able to get hold of and he said white van and gypsy's (his guess) Took his jack Russel!!! so that not looking at all good!

I am just feeling very deflated, so having a good cry, then off out again!
Once more a HUGE thanks to the dog training folk here today for taking more leaflets, and searching

Ros-Shiba
Super idea, he is a very particular eater. he loves chicken, so we are putting that out with the cameras. We know tehre are Hare and Muntjac in the woods, but I havent seen any foxes, so apart from stray cats. fingers crossed!

There was a lot of noise last night, I heard what sounded like ducks or geese being disturbed, plus I though I heard someone shouting. So thats builtt my hopes up again
DogLostOwl
Talking of food, how about a barbecue? He will be able to smell that and it may tempt him closer. If you can get him taking food in one place, our Lincs coordinator is an experienced trapper if Miko can't be caught any other way.
Ros-Shiba
Hiya, I know what you mean about the woods, So I am having a rethink how we cans earch it with least stress to him. Maybe put out some food and cameras see if tehres any sign? I have one remote wildlife camera here, motion detection, so I will give that a try. Previous owner is in Manchester and they have new baby just arrived (hence rehomed dog!) so its a long way for them to come, but I will ask.

Ros-Shiba I have sent you a text. Am concerned that flushing the woods will drive Miko away as he is a timid dog. Is there anyway the former owner could come over and help with the search?
Ros-Shiba
Possible sighting of him in the woods opposite me. Is there anyone available to help flush the woods and see if he is in there? Its about 20 acres?
Ros-Shiba
Could someone please print out the poster adn get it into their local vets? Thanks so much! I am just contacting radio stations now.

Thank you all for your help. So far no sightings. A special thank you to everyone who turned out to help look today. I contacted his previous owner for further information about him. he tells me he is not a climber and never climbed anything in his life. It is looking more like he has been stolen.
All roads nearby have been checked, plus nearby fields. I have contacted Sutterton vets, but I will check again as theres a report of a dog handed in with a mis matched microchip. Maybe they took his microchip number down wrong when I read it out to them.
Meanwhile if anyone could help check roads, fields and woodland tomorrow it would be a great help.
