- Quote from the rescue
"Timmy has gone missing, again... Yes this is a nightmare.
This boy is determined to keep us on our toes, quite literally.
Escaped through a cat flap, Stockport Road, Timperley WA15 7SR.
As you can imagine we are all very stressed and anxious for his safe return.
We are not apportioning blame but trying to focus all our efforts on getting Timmy back." - 2016-11-03 09:24 Meru

- Wow that's amazing and so wonderful.
I wonder if the reported "deceased dog" was actually a concussed Timmy who later recovered....or perhaps I haven't understood the series of events properly...

"Fantastic... Unbelievable... Incredible news today!
TIMMY HAS BEEN FOUND !!!!!!!!
I know this seems like a miracle but today Timmy has been found alive in a garden in Timperley and was taken in by a lovely couple who called us to say they had found a little dog.
When they described him we could hardly dare to hope.... it sounded like Timmy but surely couldn't have been?!. Scared to get our hopes up Sharon raced down from rescue and Jill raced from Daycare where they both were over the moon to find that all our dreams had come true.
This is difficult to get our heads around and, even though he is back with us, it's hard to believe. Sunday night we first had a call saying someone had seen a dog deceased on the motorway. Within the hour we got a call from someone else who was there at the scene when it happened, he had called to break the news to us saying he had been trying to catch him on the motorway and was only a finger tip away from him at points then saw him run down as he crossed the central reservation to the oncoming traffic. The police were called but for some reason his body was not recovered from the motorway.
We are very conscious that our elation is obviously someone else's sadness. We have tried to get hold of the witness who called us to get more information to see if we can help find whose poor dog it actually was and our hearts go out to those people as we know first hand now what that horrific feeling is like.
The very clever Helen Robinson and her husband recognised that Timmy was afraid and instead of trying to grab him they went to the shop to buy dog food and left it for him to eat the whole tin. Then they sat patiently and their caring thoughtful wonderful natures shone through as he realised he was somewhere safe and stopped his running. We will be forever grateful and they waited for him to relax for ages before trying to get a look at his tag. The perfect way to handle a fearful dog running terrified.
It all feels so unreal after a complete roller coaster and something from a film rather than reality but we are just enjoying the huge relief and happy unexpected celebrations tonight for little Timmy. - 2016-11-01 02:23 angie kelly

I have spoken to some dog owners whose dogs actually shake at the sound of fireworks. One had to be put in a room. and covered with a blanket. it was so frightened. They should be banned until November 5th; end of - 2016-10-31 10:48 JulieH
