- egizzy: I agree, they did search for a while when Reece was first lost but said they had commitments today! What warrants more commitment than a lost dog for goodness sake?? Not for us to do on this page as & up to owners whether they do or not. It goes without saying that they are very angry and upset that Reece was lost and I feel sure they will take the matter further.
Julia: this page was registered by a friend so location taken as given, however sightings were reported accurately. It is good advice & is on the Doglost email we send out to owners.
Mary, thanks for taking down posters. I also did this before coming home to Hastings.
Reece's owners, their friends from agility, Mary & many others did a great job getting posters out yesterday and getting the shares going on social media. I think we managed to find most of the posters. If anyone sees others please take them down. Thanks.
It was great to actually meet Reece who is a gorgeous lad & didn't seem too phased after his night on the tiles! Stick close to our mum now laddie :)

- Great news! Shame about the dogwalkers/behaviourists failure to care, there are so many good ones out there, perhaps they should be named and shamed?

- Thanks everyone. Had come over to Eastbourne and been postering.
Met with Ebruf and as we were planning where to search who drives up to us .. owners with Reece in their lap!! So relieved and happy for them. He had a narrow escape (again) as he was at Ratton Park heading towards the main road. Thankfully someone alerted them, they went straight there and when his mum called him he ran and jumped into her arms, bless him. He's a very lucky dog. Pity the dogwalkers/behaviourists who he was with did not take better care of him. They didn't even put posters up or search today.
Welcome back Reece, you will soon be home. - 2016-11-02 10:20 Skywalker99

- Thanks Julia, that is very helpful. It can be confusing with Hampden Park being both a Park and the wider area surrounding it.
- 2016-11-02 09:09 Julia
- Don't know why it says Hampden Park, must be mistake...I spent time with the owner Denise searching around Ratton areas as she said he was in WestLords recreation field when he slipped his lead & ran across Willingdon road & into Ratton Estate up Parkway Road. He was then sighted in various roads in Ratton throughout the day by someone else other than the owner & he bolted off. He is very nervous of people owner said so unlikely to allow anyone else to catch him. So any sightings it may be best to not try to approach him, carry food & either use reverse psychology moves to show him your not a threat or particularly interested in him, or just keep him in sight & ring owner straight away. That's just my opinion of course from info I have been told.

- I am heading to Butchers Hole this morning will keep eyes peeled as could be anywhere if in flight, I have shared on face book Willingdon, Hampden Park and Old Town Last edited: 2016-11-02 09:04:37 by egizzy

- I drove around area by Willingdon Golf Course and looked by bin area of the clubhouse and checked Recreation Area in longland Road, roads around Eastbourne golf course and with access to the Downs. There were fireworks near the Recreation Area that had spooked another Collie, that was still petrified, when I saw her with her owner, so Reece unlikely to hang around there.
The location lost is shown as Hampden Park, was that the area he was lost in or was he actually lost in the Park itself? If lost in the Park may make his way back there.
I will poster the area I drove around when it gets light.

- I have just spoken with Reece's owner (AW) and he is still missing. Another sightings of him nr the Golf course and owner is there now.
(Please note this page was registered by someone other than Reece's owner)
Reece is very scared and unlikely to go to anyone other than his owner so if you see him please keep him in sight and call owner (AW) straight away.
Reece has a collar on but he slipped his lead.
I have sent our Doglost advice out so hopefully that will help with the search.
Please keep us updated on this page so people not on social media know what is happening. Thanks.
Edited: Thanks Ebruf and to all the others I know are already helping with the search. Good to hear that posters are out so quickly as it will make a lot of difference getting those sightings come in.
AW: If Reece is walked on the downs then he could even make his way up there from the golf course, especially if there's a lot of noise from fireworks back in the town area. Would be worth leaving some scent articles in the car park that you use.
Best of luck with the search. Last edited: 2016-11-01 18:36:47 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex - 2016-11-01 17:16 Ebruf
- Have just got back from helping to search for Reece, we have now postered the Ratton area where he was last seen including posters at the golf club and the footpath that runs up the backs of the houses in that area that goes up towards Jevington. Need sightings now to focus search.

- Reece has been seen several times in the Ratton area of Willingdon Village...in Walnut Tree Walk, Babylon Way and Parkway but bolts off. He may be in hiding. Best to try to keep him in view or try to follow him and phone owner.
