Owners have only had limited internet access. They have had phonecalls from the posters but non of the sightings have been Lucky or Pip. Adverts have been in the papers but had no response. Been postering as far as Derbyshire. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

HI. We have just got our dog back after 4 weeks with the help of doglost. Molly was picked up by the Doncaster dog warden who would normally take to Hampole but chose to take Molly to Carlton Forest. Although all rescues and dog wardens had posters we did not get contacted and CF actually said they definately didnt have her (we found her there 2 hours later and she had been there for 2 days). Rescues are so busy that I am not certain they always know which dogs they have. Without visiting we certainly wouldnt have gotten Molly back. The ones we used to do in the area were Mount Pleasant at Hampole, RSPCA and Mayflower (wonderful place) both at Bawtry, Carlton Forest (towards worksop). In addition we had friends checking weekly at 2 in Barnsly. It sounds too much to keep up but it is essential. Please dont give up hope - molly came from similar surroundings to your dogs and managed to survive on rabbits and other small animals for 4 weeks. We are based at Hemingfield in Barnsley so any sightings in this direction please give us a call and if we are at home we will be more than happy to help you search - 01226 751377. Good luck. Spoken to owner Lucky and Pip have gone missing from their farmhouse which is surrounded by open fields with lots of fishing ponds with people fishing regularly, may have been picked up by someone. Owner only has internet access during working hours and is trying to send a photo by phone if not successful cannot get one scanned until Monday. They have been doing the right things. I dont know what these dogs look like as there are no pics but there is a Jack Russell Bitch, brown and white, small in terms of height, recently taken to Mount Pleasant Kennels at Hampole, Doncaster. We were up there today and noticed this dog as she was very friendly and also because she her nails were long so we assumed that she hadnt been wandering around much so may be a newly lost dog. Hope this is helpful - hope it is either Lucky or Pip. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Lucky well. Stay safe Lucky, until you are home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
