  • Other Info Gemma is a friendly dog, and will approach people for help. We think she chased something while off the lead and has become lost. There wer no sightimgs of her during the week she was lost. She turned up at a farm- was scavenging in their bins and then appeared at their back door. She is thin, a bit bashed up but seems ok. amazing!!

Beautiful girl. Welcome home, great!
NickyB, I share your concern about staffies.
But your comments on here, that I have seen, and I have seen many, are persistently negative and condemning. They are not always helpful. I am deliberately not responding to you on the page of a dog that is not yet home. But I have noticed that your comments could consistently be seen as quite judgmental. You probably don't mean to be, but your comments come across as such sometimes. Yes, of course everyone should have everything in order. We don't all always do.
I nearly lost my own rescue to traffic early on when I wasn't quite quick enough and hadn't realized how likely he was to bolt (out of the front door, when I didn't realize he could open the inner door!!). He didn't (and now again doesn't) wear a collar at home. So I can see just see my reaction to your comment "please make sure they are tagged, would have been so much quicker". Yes, great. He had never worn a collar, and had a skin reaction to it. So, minimizing contact....

a big thank you to everyone who joined the search for Gemma today. Sadly there were no sightings of her, but my son lit a bbq to cook some meat, hoping that the scent would lure her in- hopefully she will smell it and come back to her crate on the track.
I will let you all know as soon as I hear any news- and thank you all once again.
Lorica
Sadly, not her.

tdoday we have searched up the track, behind it towards errwood hall, back over Foxlow edge, over to the shrine and in the woodlands opposite. We haven't searched much around Fernilee or over towards Macc or Congleton yet- so if anone wants to try there, that would be great.
thankyou all.
gemster
thanks nicolabriw. Buxton Advertiser, weathr watch, buxton and kinder mountain rescue are all sharing info. The park rangers are also aware and looking out.
today the drone did not find anything but he may be able to search again over the next few days.
today I have looked up at Errwood hall (briefly), the car park area at Derbyshire bridge and arpund Pym chair. No luck yet.
A very kind couple of women have put a covered crate on the track where we lost Gemma so that her bedding stays dry. I keep leaving food as well.
