Have spoken to owner, no news or updates. No calls either. Posters still up but nothing, another one of our mysterious disappearance dogs. Hope not given up yet though so fingers crossed we will get at least some conclusion. We could certainly do with a few more reunited dogs in Surrey just now. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Whilst I'm new to this can I suggest, based on having grown up in the area, contacting or postering: The Wey and Arun Canal Trust. They have working parties out in quite remote parts of this area several times a week and at weekends. http://www.weyandarun.co.uk/ Although its probably been done, make sure that Dunsfold Aerodrome has been contacted. http://www.dunsfoldaerodrome.com/home.asp?fdv=1 The Youth Hostels at Hindhead,Tanners Hatch and Holmbery St Mary - to catch those who might be out walking in the area. Godalming and Haselmere Ramblers Association. Again for walkers but also the latest Foot and Mouth outbreak close by will probably mean some of their organised walks being canceled, could they be encouraged to hold replacements in areas this dog is likely to have gone to ground? http://www.godalmingandhaslemereramblers.org.uk/ The Village Halls - there are a number in the area and they will have notice boards and people passing through regularly. The local Fishing Clubs - ask if they can let you know where their waters are and if its Ok to poster them. Anglers will be out quite deep in the countryside of the area for relatively long periods. The local isolated pubs. People drive out to them from all around, traversing the roads of the area in the quieter hours. The Three Compasses at Lakers Green should definitely be done. The car parks of the local NT and FC areas - Sidney Wood and Winkworth Arboretum for a start. The local Parish Notice Boards - many of the local villages have them IIRCLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

From one welshie owner/lover to another, I do hope that Poppy will be found soon, I feel we are too far away but will ensure that everyone I know looks out for her anyway. Thinking of you and sending lots of positive vibes. JulitaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nope, seems it was probably a game to someone, however they knew the postcode of the address given so obviously local. Address was a caravan / traveller site!! Have advised owner to consider taking out an advert in local paper, but if you are looking in Keelah can we get a press release written up? Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Poppy well. Stay safe Poppy, until we find you x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
