Pugsley has been found & taken to Vets with a sore eye a deep ulcer he has lost a lot of weight also, 11 days he has been missing and been given Gillian & the Swindon Team & Pug Community the run around, he was sighted (and sadly chased) several times then all went quite for 4/5 days then sighted back at the beginning, he was caught where we had the sighting "a lady spotted him tried to keep him there with a squeaky ball and treat then a man got down low with treat and got a lead on him" (Liam Steer and Jo Pike xx) and returned to owner today. Well done!
Fantastic news the weather is horrible out there ! Last edited: 2016-11-22 12:17:30 by Reynard

Please check (Txt) with Gillian before Search on Sat as it may now not go ahead as Pugsley has been sighted , as a search will just make him run further away , thanks 07738177644Last edited: 2016-11-17 19:12:28 by Reynard

Because a Poster was put up by one of the Fab Volunteers (Posters are MAGIC!)
"Karen James I have just been chatting to a friend that had just seen your poster, she saw Pugsley on Tuesday afternoon, approx 2pm running along the pathway between Shaw Forest and Peatmoor Lagoon on the Sparcells side - he was running very fast towards Shaw Forest. She hadn't realised he was a missing dog but the poster jogged her memory.

Linda Heath FB: We stayed around Shaw Forest until sunset - best bet would be to lay in wait around Pembroke Park (SN2 2QY) as that's the cut through between where he lives and Sparcells and Shaw forest. He must be sauntering past Thameswood Vets on a daily basis & knows the area better than we think now clever boy!Last edited: 2016-11-14 11:09:18 by Reynard

Only ONE feed station Gillian if he gets too much food in different areas he will be hard to spot, wherever he goes during the day (probably Shaw Woods) is to hunker down as feels safe , probably a dry spot near water & where he can see anyone coming. He travels back to Home area at Dusk (its usually Dawn and Dusk a Dog will come out to find food) your not going to 'catch' him in the dark unless he is near a garden where you can shut him in (is there one near?) A 'feed station' needs 24/7 monitoring (Field Trap Cameras are a great asset, try Oak & Furrow rescue for a loan) to see if he comes to eat , if its a regular occurrence a Trap might be the answer , but usually its a build up of trust, can take days , but does work. You will also need lots of POSTERS to get sightings.
Gillw1978
I have been putting food stations out just don't know if I'm in the right area I'm gonna try by plummers pit as he was seen by the church that's the closest to it.
DogLostReynard
"Claire : It was thought his last sighting was at Manor Cresent, Swindon SN2 2LG @ 9 last night" Thats by St Marys Church
DogLostReynard
Thank you Jenners, nice map
Linda and Claire have been in touch and given advice, but hopefully your contribution, experience & your brilliant map will give Gillian's confidence a boost :)

I have spoken briefly to Pugsley's owner, they are doing well getting posters up etc. I have given some advice and will speak again later. I have done a map to track sightings, I will amend if wrong, but for now it gives people an idea https://drive.google.com/open?id=1x3TDXVhr5K5iTQWsXRJQXQPqh6Y&usp=sharing

Please if not already doing Feed (Feed Station) only in ONE area most seen (Poster well to get sightings coming in) add bedding and a crate (if he is used too one) , stake that area out , perhaps share in shifts , when sighted sit quietly offer small amounts of food (Chicken , Garlic Sausages, Sardines ) something tasty and smelly , gain his trust, if he likes Dogs maybe sit with a quite female , but keep low, No eye contact, Gently gently does it .
Hollieberry
Poor little lad he must be bewildered ,does he know the area he was lost in due to him being newly rehomed ?
