So so sorry to see this update - a moment of carelessness by a delivery person and this resulting devastation to the family of a much loved dog.

I am so sorry to hear George didn't make it home.George's owners worked so hard day and night to find him.RIP George. My heart goes out to Grant,Gemma and family xxxx Update from Grant's owner....We are devastated to tell you that George was found this morning. Our suspicion that he never left the business park was confirmed earlier when we received a call from a lovely man from BOC who had found George in between some machinery and boxes. I would publicly like to thank that man for finding him and treating his body so respectfully. We have now been able to say goodbye to our boy. We can't thank each and every one of you enough for the messages of support and for being our eyes and ears throughout the last couple of months. There have also been some individuals who have been particularly amazing - you know who you are - thank you. Sleep tight Georgie man. We love you so much xxx

Gemma and Grant, I am truly very very sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy. You worked so hard, and people like you don't deserve this. Especially after this week when Tizer was found after 2 months and his owners don't want him back! Also the Manager of the industrial park should hang his head in shame! Let's hope you never have a missing pet.

Gorgeous George now back home with his family where he belongs. Sweet dreams at the bridge little man, lots of love to your family ❤️ xxx

I'm gutted to report George has not made it home 😰 Jan Lancashire will update shortly xx
Cooperchristie
Okay. I will carry on searching as long as it takes....as will loads of other people, I am sure. xx
Gr4nt
Thank you for your continued support. We really don't have a clue on where to be looking due the lack of sightings so anywhere around that area is great. Thank you x
Cooperchristie
Hi, walked around Lancashire Business park again this morning, but sadly, nothing to report. No sighting of George. However, the Burger man (nice bloke) has the details and is keeping an eye out for him, hoping the smell of food may bring him out. If
there is any where else you want searching let me know.
DogLostJan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
George has been featured in the Leyland Guardian.Hope it helps bring some news xxxx

Just had a possible sighting come in from the Friday George went missing.Sighted Stratfield Place Leyland lancs pr25 at 3pm in the afternoon. This could be the last sighting of George xxx
Cooperchristie
No luck this morning. If need be I will go to the Lancs Business park again on Saturday, it will be quieter so maybe he will show his face if he is about. Hope upon hope that he is soon found though. xx
Cooperchristie
Okay. Will head off there in a few moments. Hope that I am lucky for the little fellow. June
Gr4nt
Thank you June. Could you perhaps try the Lancashire business park? Obviously you won't be able to go onto the individual sites but there are a lot of open roads/car parks etc which can be searched. There is no security on that park like there is on the leyland business park xx
Cooperchristie
I am off work tomorrow. Will come over to Leyland and search for a couple of hours. I don't know Leyland very well, so please be a bit specific. Where would you like me to search? Thanks, June
DogLostJan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
Spoke to Business Park Manager today unfortunately nobody is allowed to search the park for health and safety reasons.
DogLostJan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
We are all hoping and praying George is found soon.George's family and the people of Leyland and beyond have been amazing.Every company we can we can find on the buisness park is in the process of being contacted along with the owners of the park. xxxx
Gr4nt
Unfortunately still no sighting of Georgie Man. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is the day he comes home x
Gr4nt
Tracker dog been to the Arnold Clark site but didn't pick anything up. We've been advised George could be hiding during the day and coming out at night so we will be searching the site over the next few nights. We may also try cooking sausages on a disposable BBQ in hope that the smell of food coaxes him out. We are willing to try anything! Grant has just taken a phone call from someone who heard dog barking at leyland trucks so he is going to check that out now. Will update later tonight. Gemma x

Skywalker99 - I'm not sure about scenting advice but i think the've had a volunteer with a training dog out to try to find its scent, please go to Grant smith posts on leyland lost & found pets fb page for all updates as they happen & to offer help.
We need to get this shared everywhere as it's been 5 days & he was last seen 5 days ago walking around leyland business park after he got clipped by a car & hasn't been seen since. Someone may of taken him in so we try to remain positive. But if he's still out & lost we need as many searchers as possible to get him home.
Thank you for sharing.
Skywalker99
Have owners had scenting advice?

Update on the George situation.
It's been an eventful day today as we have had a few sitings. The first was of him on the park opposite the house barking at some dogs then he headed back onto our estate and out the other side. We had a call from a guy who saw him get clipped by a vehicle whilst crossing the road. He then got up and headed into Leyland business park opposite. The security very kindly looked back through the CCTV footage where he can be clearly seen walking onto the business park. The security allowed us on site to search the area. He was then spotted by a guy walking down the road on the business park. He stated he had a bit of a limp but didn't look badly hurt. Now we are obviously fearing the worst but on viewing the cctv footage again he looks fine and walking normally. To be honest like he's not got a care in the World! Come on boy home time xxx

We saw same comment as jacksmum about the jack russell seen near ulneswalton in leyland on the leyland lost & found pets fb page but someone else said this dog was reunited, we are waiting for definite confirmation about this but it seems it's not george sadly the pr25 postcode & type of dog is a coincidence. I pray george is found soon xxx
Jacksmum
Hi

I put this dogs details on facebook and had this reply

'm not sure if it was the same dog but on Friday at about 12.30pm there was a jack Russel running Down unles walton lane towards school lane (PR26) this is quite far away from Farington though. About 7 of us stopped and tried to catch him but he was so wick and scared. Please feel free to message me. As i say we didnt manage to catch the dog, it ended up running onto a farm. The dog seemed smaller in height than the average jack Russel and had darker patches towards his rear end Xx
