Having always has Labradors myself they are so food motivated.

I'm sorry to hear about Candy, I drive from boxted road to west bergholt through great horkesley every day and always keep an eye out for her.
Have you thought of hiring a trained marksmen to dart her?
Sorry I'm sure you have thought of everything but trying to help.
I can't begin to imagine what you must be going through, our thoughts are with you
I will also keep an eye out whilst walking our dog

You have probabaly already been given his name, but if not Ray Dedicoat (www.raydedicoat.com) is very experienced in catching dogs that are at large.

If you see her please do not chase her or try to catch her as she seems to be traveling further afield which is not good.

Was with a gentleman for an hour but when he tried to get her she ran off towards the Park and Ride in Boxted direction.

Been seen running across road from Philpotts nursery Boxted Road Boxted. Please do not try to catch her as she will continue to run as has happened.

This morning we have seen her again in same area as yesterday. Runs away when she sees an adult

Candy is still at large but we have seen her three times in the same field. Have just gone with night vision glasses but no sign. Please do not feed her as we have a food trap which we hope she will find.

We have put out posters and more are going out at this moment. The siting this morning was as a result of a poster so thank you for contacting me.

Marian, have you put out lots of posters in the area ? I have helped searches in the past, the most noted found spaniel was found by a lady who had no idea she was a missing dog but her friend had seen a local poster. The internet is amazing but not everyone uses this - the power of posters and door drops is invaluable, especially in an area of sightings, really hope she is home with you soon xxx

Marian, if previous owners not able/willing to help search, could you ask them for a voice recording so that candy could here a familiar voice, which she may respond to if shes running scared x

Marian.....if you see her again...do not chase....stop, drop be still no eye contact...take a crisp packet that you can rustle.......set up a BBQ with some hot smelly sausages to entice her. Leave something with her scent and your scent on nearbthe place she was seen. X

She has been spotted running into a field opposite Half Butt Pub in Great Horkesley. We went there immediately and there was one siting but she just ran off. It is now dark so the search has been called off for tonight and the search will have to be into Boxted/ Mile End I think or she may retrace her steps but fireworks are being let off near the pub.

I don't doubt you are doing all the right things for Candy, but at the moment she is more familiar with her previous home and owner. I'm familiar with the area but too far away to help. 20 miles by road there can be much shorter across fields. I hope you find Candy soon.

Previous owners live 20 miles away and were not interested in the dog being bought. Had not had her chipped, nor injections up to date and she has not been spayed.
