I am pleased to inform that we found Rita at 4.30 pm about a 1/4 of a mile from where she ran off.
She was in the overgrown back garden of an unoccupied house. We were alerted to the location by three sightings on the road just outside Porthtowan.
The last sighting was reported from a poster we left in the village shop. Posters work and I am very grateful for all the advice I received from Lost Dog and the support and back up.

She has been found in the local area. Someone had seen a poster in the local shop & told owner.
It seems there may have been confusion with the 'found' listed on stray list, as it could have been the owners son letting the council know he had found their dog, lol.

Rita ran off on a walk n the beach. It is thought she may have spotted something. She was spotted shortly after going missing, just outside the village on the main road, but it is not known in which direction she was heading.
She has only been with her current owner since Thursday, but has settled in well. She is timid & may not approach people, or be easily caught.
