- Still walking there. No further sightings or news :(
- 2016-11-30 11:25 sarap3038
- I'm still walking here daily and today saw what I am sure could have been Florian. I was at a distance, but I saw what I am sure was a dog matching Florian's size, colour and appearance trotting/walking fast across the entrance to the woods on Totteridge Common. This is where he was last seen. I'm sure it was not a fox, deer or cat. Owner came and looked as did Nicky and luckily Jennifer and her husband also happened along with their dogs (thanks everyone). Ewa can we get the other picture you showed me up on here? I think it is worth leaving a crate with his bed or a blanket in in the bushes on the right hand side of the entrance where he went into. And possibly having a BBQ there as it gets dark. See if he is tempted out.

- Had another walk around checking in bushes etc. Saw 6 other people, 4 of whom had not seen any poster (two had just walked past one!). They are all now keeping their eyes peeled and have Ewa's phone number in their pocket. Ewa, I think it may be worth contacting the Bucks Free Press and asking them if they will run something. They have for other missing dogs. An important part of the story is that you used to live near where he went missing and now live 5 miles away and he may be trying to get home. xxx

- I am certain I have just seen the dog I saw the other day and am sure it is not Florian. The walker matches the memory I have too. Having had the chance to double back and have a good look, the dog I saw is more like a long-haired dash-hound, with hair parted down its back and hanging, plus it has long floppy ears (a bit spaniel like). I'm happy this is not going to be Florian. Earlier I had another walk in the woods and checked the drainage ditch all along in case there was anywhere there he could be caught up; still no signs though. Come on Florian, come and find someone to get you home xxx

- My local postie has taken a copy of the poster to put up at the sorting office so ALL the postmen and women in the area will know about him.

- Many thanks for your comment, it really gives hope. I used to live at Kingston Road. At the shop, bus stop and street light which are near by I left posters as well.

- What road did you used to live on? Water in those woods won't be a problem at this time of year. We have had rain and mine have found puddles to drink from. They can survive for a while without food, and he may find some in the woods. There is a lot of wildlife and if he's lucky he will find something, otherwise, he may venture out to scavenge from bins, hence wondering where you used to live. He's got a good thick coat, and there is a lot of shelter in bushes etc. As I said right a the start, I did see a very similar dog being walked along the road there and I think it was after he was missing. In a lot of ways I really hope it is him, and I wonder whether now we need to get the Bucks Free Press involved in a story in case he's been picked up and being looked after. If he was very dirty (as Jennifer said) they may have assumed he was dumped rather than lost. Not everyone would think to check for a microchip. There are a lot of people looking for him, so don't give up hope. xxx

- Yes, this the entry. I didn't have one particular route, but always had the same entry and exit. I have also contacted people who are now lives at our old address, but they told me there was no sign of Florian. I am really worried if he is still alive due to bad weather, lack of water and food. I hope that someone took care over him- otherwise he should be at home already.

- That's really good Ewa. He may come back to the T-shirt - good to go and check as it gets light to see if he is asleep there. I am assuming this is the entrance by the Common, where you walk over the grass to get to the entrance, and there is the hairdressers and chemist there over the road. This is where Jennifer saw him. Interestingly enough I spoke to a gent on Friday on the bench near there who recogised Florian from when you have walked him there. This is the entrance I often use, so that's good. When you go in with him, did you have a normal route and area, or just everywhere? Eg I normally go straight on, but some people go off towards the Dolphin pub and Terriers area.
Have you spoken to the people who now have your house and the houses next door? He may go back there, especially if you used to walk from the house to the woods. Do you mind telling me where that was and then I can pass by to see if he is around as I am in the area 4 times a day on school days!
Yes I saw a lot of your posters, I just added to them to try and spread the word, especially as he may now have left the woods and be looking for food at houses. Need to put some more by Kingswood school (so parents and kids look for him) and the catholic church near the road in case he comes out onto the grass and someone sees him but does not go up to the entrance to the woods. I did see the one at the bus stop, but want to get one at the other end of that grass.
Sorry for the long comment, but we want to help you and I am feeding info backwards and forwards to the facebook groups in the area as we have a great community of dog lovers round High Wycombe who will all do their best to help find him. - 2016-11-19 14:13 Ewa
- Yes, I have left my t-shirt there. I've lost at next to the main entry to the forest, the one with big logs at the front. He knows this area well, because we had a house there four years ago; later on we moved to the west. I left many posters as well- next to every entry to the forest, at the bus stops, next to the shops.
- 2016-11-19 13:40 sarap3038
- Been around the put some more posters along the roads this side of the woods, plus spoken to dog walkers and the postman again. Hopefully we may start to get some sightings now. Ewa, where did you last see him? Have you left something of yours or his there in the hope he returns to there? Do you often walk there? Does he know the wider area (I know you live about 5 miles away, but is there anywhere else you walk him near there, or did you used to live there?
- 2016-11-19 11:20 Ewa

- I will also text owner to let them know of this possible sighting. I have asked sighter if they think it was this week or last. This is a comment on one of my FB posts 'We are sure we saw Florian, we are trying to work out what day,we saw this dog running into Kingswood, and then again in the wood, I called to this dog but it looked very dirty and frightened, and ran away, another lady saw this dog also, as she commented to ourselves, we walk these woods twice a day, so will keep looking for your Florian x

- I live in this area and will walk there until he's found. I saw a very similar dog this week being walked on lead very close to there (on Totteridge Lane, by the common, opp the Chemist and hairdressers). I'm sure it was since 10th. Does the owner know of another similar dog? Do they have another dog the same and I saw that?
