What fantastic news! I've been following Roxy's story and I'm so pleased you've managed to catch her :D

Fantastic news! Just had a call from the owner. He managed to catch Roxy about 5 p.m after a whole day in the fields and lanes between Thaxted and Little Sampford. What a relief for everybody and especially the dog, who is now on her way home for a bath and a good feed! Thanks to everybody especially to the lady from the RSPCA this morning who stuck around to make sure Roxy didn't venture into the road.

Anyone locally have another lurcher. They often go to there own breed. I'm no where near but am around in the morning with a suluki. Well done for keeping this page up to date. I know there is lots of activity on the bardfield and Thaxted pages which is often not passed on in thee situations. Lay food where she was last seen and at least it may keep her local th the area xLast edited: 2016-11-22 12:42:28 by SuePower

Sighting was correct. I got there at 9.15 and there was a lady already there. We tried to entice Roxy with biscuits and although she was interested in the food she would not come near enough for anyone to to grab her. Her owner arrived at 10.15 but the dog would not come to him. We tried to surround her but she just popped through a hedge. At this moment he's still trying to get her back. I'm sorry to report that Roxy still hasn't been found. In fact she hasn't been seen at all today, at least not by us. We have to wait for another confirmed sighting and take it from there.

Thanks for update mnj!

Roxy's owner is now back in the area looking for her. He's driving a white VW Golf so if you see him and have any information about sightings please flag him down. Safely!
mnj
I don't think this can be Roxy, Buntingford is a good 15 miles away, I can't see how she would have found her way there, even overnight. Plus, the dog is female. However, Patlucky, can you post as soon as the dog gets identified. Thank you so much.
BigGSDPatlucky
FORGET that it is a male dog sorry
BigGSDPatlucky

I was out most of last evening looking for this poor dog. She doubled back from Little Bardfield and as member Jackie said, she was seen near Tylers and Stones Farm on the Bardfield Road. That's more or less just up the road so I went out and there she was sitting down the other side of the ditch but would not come to me. I even had some chicken with me but she just slinked away into the field and I couldn't get sight of her again. The owner arrived and we searched again but still nothing. This is a very timid dog indeed and may prove very difficult to catch. I'm in constant touch with the owner and I'm going to have another look now. Admin, can you amend the postcode back to CM6 as that's where she was last sighted. If anyone else in the area could turn out to help that would be great. Thanks.Last edited: 2016-11-21 10:34:16 by mnj

Roxy is in the Little Bardfield area of Essex and was last seen about 6.30 this evening. I've been out again just now but did not catch sight of her. Two of us and a neighbour spent an hour in and out of fields and gardens trying to catch her but to no avail. She is very timid and has no idea where she is. The owner has been informed and we will resume looking tomorrow. Can anyone in the Little/Great Bardfield area please be on the lookout for her, at the moment she is facing a night out in the cold with no food.
