Abi Box, Peterborough
Please continue to share everybody, the more shares the better! Not looking for sympathy or anymore negative comments; I've had my fair share of those and I instantly knew I'd made a mistake. I just want information about his whereabouts or the girl in the CCTV footage. My focus now is to get him home back where he belongs! A massive thank you to every single one of you who have shared or commented/messaged with any sort of information; you don't know how much this means to me! x - 2016-11-26 22:07 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- I am praying this is positive news - the owner needs some of that right now. I know that everyone is hoping for good news. The publicity has been nothing short than brilliant. There are some really nasty people out there. How would they feel if it were their dog. Just evil. The views to Ziggy's page is wonderful and that shows how many lovely people there are too - everyone has been looking out for him. Lets await the news. Sounding good :o) Paws crossed x

I am in absolute bits and my heart is broken. I just want him back safe!! If it is her I just want to thank every single one of you who gave me information or kind words instead of throwing horrible comments at me when I already feel so much pain.

- 2016-11-24 16:33 Skywalker99
- yes...comments on facebook have pointed out the car..it slows as it passes Ziggy. Good point about additional cctv.
Captain...I don't tweet, but is it worth tagging cambridgeshire police into a tweet? or is there some protocol that says not to? - 2016-11-24 15:59 skyninchar
- Looking at the video, a silver estate comes round the corner and parks up further down the road, it would appear that this girl gets out of the car and runs towards the dog, she is also wearing a form of id around her neck, there must be more cctv along that road
- 2016-11-24 15:33 Skywalker99
- have you thought of contacting thepetdetectives.com? Also...not clear from notes above but the car was an estate carLast edited: 2016-11-24 15:38:07 by Skywalker99

Sending you love xx

- abibox...do you have a CRN from the police? If so send it to doglost, they will update Ziggy's status to 'stolen' (instead of just lost) and their police co-ordinator can help in dealing with the police.
- 2016-11-23 18:22 abibox
- I have shared his poster to all pages I know of. The police officer dealing with the case says he is looking into cctv that the council sent him so hopefully something turns up. I am in bits without him.
- 2016-11-23 18:13 Juls
- I hope you get him home soon , been in Peterborough today driving around with work was looking out for him , will be driving around tomorrow again so will look out for him again . Take care x x

- To All - that is why I said that the awful crime should be publisied to warn owners - put posters etc up in vets, pet shops etc. Breeders should be warning the new owners of the problem too. Even police should be playing a part to help curb this heartbreaking crime. Adverts could also be run in the press too. The more difficult the public make it dog theft should reduce hugely...
- 2016-11-23 14:19 Skywalker99
- tbh is tying your dog up outside a shop amy worse than letting it out of your sight while off the lead? I have lost count of the number of times I have seen dog owners in our local park panic because they have been so busy yacking to their friends that they haven't been paying attention to what the dog is doing. However...it is not helpful to criticise Ziggy's owner....if you have never heard of it happening you would not think it would. I hope Ziggy is home soon, have you posted to facebook pages like lostbox and harvey's army?
- 2016-11-23 14:07 Sandra Watt
- Abibox - we are all totally shocked by Ziggy's theft and you have our full support - we want this thief caught and your dog back home with you. As Nicola states, most people dont actually know that this kind of thing happens frequently. I assume the police are helping with getting CCTV etc, is there any more info you can provide that would help from the facebook pages. Do you have any information about the other dog that was stolen on the same day.
- 2016-11-23 13:14 nicolapicola
- It is only in the last few years that dogs have started disappearing from outside shops and if you had never heard of anyone losing theirs this way and live in a district where it is normal to do it, why would you think it might happen to your own dog? Obviously, we need to publicise the danger more but no owner would run a risk with their beloved dog on purpose so criticism after the event isn't helpful or kind. Let's get Ziggy home! Would like to hear what sort of dog the other dog that was stolen was so we can look for him too if he has not turned up yet.
- 2016-11-23 11:34 abibox
- I have been beating myself now up about this like crazy, I am heartbroken and hate myself that this has happened to my best friend. I don't need email alerts about negative comments on here please; I just want my boy back safe and sound.
- 2016-11-23 10:17 Jane
- Jan.Petsearchuk- I thought the same thing as soon as I read of the TWO dogs stolen at the same shop on the same day! Outside my local shop people STILL tie their dogs up outside. If you say anything to the owners you either get told to mind your own business or looked at like you're mad. People are still very much unaware of the dangers they are putting there beloved dogs under. There needs to be a massive publicity surge to make dog owners aware of the dangers. Posters in vets, shops etc. As you say they are a most precious member of the family...well said you!
- 2016-11-23 07:05 Jan.Petsearchuk
- I can't believe people are STILL leaving dogs outside shops. you wouldn't leave your handbag or bag of shopping outside a shop so why leave your most precious thing - your dog? I know I'm preaching to the converted on here but it makes me so angry that yet another dog is lost/stolen and it could be avoided.
- 2016-11-22 22:41 reggiemollieros
