- Think owner has been found. He only got this lovely lad last Thursday. He has posted in Stray Dogs Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. He phoned SDK this morning, and they have no record?
Jamie Brown.. Rung them earlier, said they have no record?! :( it isn't what you think it is, it's a 9 month old bull mastiff cross, NOT A STAFF. That's probably why there are no records :(

- I hope the colour of noses doesnt determine breed! I am.never too sure how the breed is determined these days! It is a question I have asked on another dog that has, sadly been PTS. I will get an answer! I wholeheartedly agree in regard to chipping. Last edited: 2016-11-27 18:53:38 by ClaireC

- There is a myth that there is such a breed as a red nosed pitbull. Not the case. There is no such breed as a pitbull either. See the link below. Tells you a lot.

- Sorry if I offended anyone.
You're right Claire. I really hope the owner claims his/her dog.
It seems to me that dogs of "breed to be determined" often have red noses. I have also heard the term "red nose" used to describe staffie-type status dogs. I just wondered if the colour affected the decision to query the breed.
I hoped that if such a dog was neutered and chipped, it might help it to be reunited more quickly.

- Veronica??
- 2016-11-27 16:57 ClaireC
- Veronica, I am curious, what do you mean by red nose and staffie cross with regard to neutering?
I have actually altered your comment as I wouldnt wish to stop owner!Last edited: 2016-11-27 17:01:04 by ClaireC - 2016-11-27 15:40 ClaireC
- Here we go again!

- If I had a pet staffie cross with a red nose, I'd definitely have it neutered and chipped.
I do hope the owner wants this one back. Last edited: 2016-11-27 16:58:10 by ClaireC - 2016-11-27 12:14 charlie and sooty
