Pleased to report that after 5 months on the run Scarlet has been caught. A huge thank you to our helper Claire Ward for the hours she has spent tracking Scarlet and to Julia for once again trapping a long term missing dog. Claire, Julia and I have spent much of the last few months in hedge bottoms and woods following up on sightings etc. Then on bank holiday Monday we finally found the place she bolts to and with the permission of the lovely people who own the land we were able to set up a feeding station which resulted in her being captured by Julia in the early hours of this morning in Kettlethorpe.

Been out searching several times a day since Scarlet went missing but apart from the sighting on the river bank I have not seen her again although I do know Nic and her friends sighted and followed her. Between us we will eventually get more sightings but for now she seems to be laying low.

We r in the area where she was seen yesterday and after speaking to a couple of people it seems she has been hanging around chennels farm since Thursday

I believe that you asked for NO searches to be made Friday evening and Saturday morning?
And then there was a post saying you had her in sight etc so we presumed you still wanted people to keep away?
What sort of time was the sighting made by person who called it in?
When you was following her was she aware of you?
Was there a reason the farmer chased her (worrying his livestock etc)?

Just a quick.update if you don't already know but we got a call early this morning of scarlet in the Collingham besthorpe area this is the second sighting I myself got a lock on her and followed her for quite away until a farmer from chennels farm decided to play hero and chase her so she ran even though I told him not to approach her but didn't listen 😡 but we beieve she is still in the same area as she seems to have found some where warm to sleep and comes out early for food so will be going back there in the morning

I have just walked around Girton sailing club but the gates were locked up . I searched the shore line of the lakes but no sign of Scarlet.

Just come home for a warm up and then will go out again later. It's pitch black out there so thank goodness I've got some night vision goggles. Didn't see Scarlet but saw a beautiful barn owl.

Alison has contacted me she is now back home hasn't had any further sightings of scarlet I still have the help of Lilli who will be going back out this afternoon as Alison can't do it
Hence why I asked if there was anyone else out that way that could help I would appreciate it if we could all communicate with each other as this is a positive sighting and I want to bring my baby home too me that's my only objective right now it's all about scarlet and myself my family and scarlet need all the help and support we can get to bring her home I have posted it on social media to let people know and give them an update if any other updates or info please can u contact myself or Lilli aswell as anyone else thank u again

Alison our admin lady who lives locally has just sighted Scarlet...or rather her dog sniffed her out.....So Alison is going to spend all day in the area with her dog.

It is important that people don't start taking things into their own hands at this moment in time traps and food dropping is useless at the moment until we have established a pattern of where she maybe going once we have established a pattern then we can think about trapping if she starts seeing lots of people coming for her she will only run and I don't want that

Couple of possible sightings around the Collingham area....
Please report sightings only and don't attempt to try and chase after her etc, Like the other puppy farm Beagle who was adopted at the same time, from same place etc its most likely this girl is going to need to be trapped....

Just looked on google earth and there is a very large building close to Hatchets Lane that could be a chicken factory?farm. Scarlet may have followed her nose to look for food. Worth checking it out. Also looks like railways lines directly behind that building so call Network rail in case any of the drivers have seen her at the side of the tracks.
