Apparently the finder took the dog to Darwin Vets Tatsfield & from what I can gather from the posts on Found in the Pound UK the elderly gentleman who owned the dog is now in possession of his best friends ashes. Very sad but it was so nice of the vets to do this for him.

Oh gosh what can I say? What a kind gesture from the owner...and how hard it must have been for the owner to place him at his favourite walk....but distressing to others to have found him....Are the vets able to email doglost with owners details so we can offer support?..or give the owner our telephone number please?

According to another site - the owner of this little dog is elderly and the dog had just been PTS at the vets - the owner didn't know what to do with it's body so thought it might be a good idea to leave him on his favourite dog walk. The vet practice that this dog was taken to by the finder has been in touch with his owner and they have very kindly said they will pay the charges to have the dog cremated! Such a sad situation - the owner must be grieving for the loss of doggie.

To the onwers. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Night, night, sleep tight, and have fun with the other "Rainbow babies" who are waiting to play. RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for this little one, who was carried over the bridge in the arms of a loving Angel. Run free (HUG x) One day when the time is right, you will be met by your boy; never to be parted. And at least you are able to lay him to rest.
