- These pups will probably be both colours, red and black and tan like the father. The owner reckons that the pups would be due November, so lets keep our eyes peeled. So any time from now onwards. All the veterinary clinics around need checking out incase they have been used, and also if the pups get taken for any jabs at a later date. keep safe little Phebe. - Rang owner earlier but they do not have a landline number so sending an email, will see if they have registered and are checking the site etc also sending smaller posters. Hope someone has taken this little girl in and she is being looked after, good that she is chipped. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Which area of Mansfield has she gone missing from? A lot of the town is very rural and as Cesky 2000 says she could have reverted back to nature as hormones kick inLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Phebe well. Stay safe Phebe, and come home very soon x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- If she is 'missing' has she been taken or gone walkabout? As she is due to whelp she may well have taken herself off to find a nice quiet dark place of her own. Owner PLEASE search everywhere. Is there a shed or outbuilding she could have got into? Has she got stuck somewhere, forgetting that her girth is a bit bigger than normal? Ask all the neighbours to search their gardens as well. Dachshunds are hunters, and can be very self-reliant. As the date of whelping draws near nature often takes over and the desire to find a dark place to have her puppies may well have taken over!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Oh poor Phebe, terrible time for her to be missing. Is this one of the breeds that often needs assistance when they whelp? Fingers crossed that she is safely home very soon, good that Phebe has been chippedxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
