Poppet is home with her owners. She was found this morning in Beckenham Place Park by a beautiful ex Battersea Staffie called Alex and caught by some very lovely dog owners.

Hope she's found today.Last edited: 2016-12-12 12:32:49 by S

Have you had scenting advice?
Skywalker99
Have you left anything that smells if you/her where she ran off?, you need to post to every local Facebook page you can find and tweet

golf court 15th hole is where she ran off

thanx, a squeaky toy is a great idea..also rattling the dry food bag was a good one..
G
When you go out looking today, take a squeaky toy with you that Poppet is used...(this has helped catch puppies in the past)..good luck.

Has the golf club/course been alerted? (or has it been closed as per a news report I've come across?) Is there access to the golf course from the park, and - if so - has it been searched? Also, the local train stations as I can see from the map that there's a train line running the length of the park on one side. Will there be another coordinated search tomorrow?

We need as many posters as possible. Target Downham high street as many shops along there including a pet shop to put posters in. Many food shops with bins at the back where dogs can come out and scavenge at night and early dawn. Alert Downham cabs as they have many drivers who drive the back end of park by Ravenscoft train station. As we know the park is big, many hiding places for a small pup.Would be good to go early evening with smelly food, and an item of owners clothes left near she went missing for scent. As its the weekend lets hope someone has taken her in till tomorrow when vets open.

the persin walking Poppet is in bed now but i will ask him tomoro and post it when i hear back..as a whole, we have spent hours in the park searching..She is normally full of beans gettung into everything so walking around there and her not running up to greet us/everyone is very unsettling..thankyou for your kind words and thoughts

So sorry to hear this. Please could you narrow down the place last sighted for us? (And direction of travel, if not too upsetting for you.) Becks Place Park is quite a big place, although a lot of us know it well. God bless.

S, thank you for trying so hard for us..I can't bear to think what has happened to Poppet. I have all of her things around us at home and it is so quiet without her.

So sorry to see that Poppet is missing. We would love it if you'd let Hat Trick Productions follow your search for their Lost & Found TV series. Do call Lawrence on 0207 184 6738 for a chat.

I am local and have shared on social media, and told loads in area. I so hope someone kind has taken her in till dog wardens open tomorrow. She looks so small its heartbreaking, having had my dog missing at 6 months old i know only to well the feeling. Lets get her to hot to handle.

We are about 12 miles away in Westerham. Didn't see anything on DogLost before this evening, Debbie - otherwise would have helped with today's search. Also, no posts on Beckenham Gossip or the Foxgrove Vets FB page yet.Have shared on Doodle Trust FB group asking if anyone might be available to help with a search tomorrow. Poor little scrap must be petrified.Last edited: 2016-12-11 20:40:13 by S

S, I have shared this pup since yesterday, have given all doglost advice to owners and one other is advising, we have searched today, various helpers but no joy, Foxgrove vets are aware, owners will get hold of Battersea and local dog wardens Lewisham and Bromley tomorrow as they can't get through to any of them. It would be very helpful if anyone local can help by putting the doglost posters up and out for Poppet please. I shared to various local Beckenham groups yesterday and all local dog walkers are aware and a lot of owners are aware now too in beckenham Place park

I have shared with DL FB Page, Twitter & Public. I hope Poppet is safely back at home soon. X

Is a search being organised? Happy to go to Beckenham Place Park tomorrow to help. Have posted a message on Foxgrove 24 hour veterinary surgery's FB page (see my comment below) with Poppet's lost poster to alert them. They are just across the road from Beckenham Place Park and the obvious place for a finder to take her.
