BEN AND AMBER ARE HOME!!!!! I cannot believe it.... I was out buying hen feed and got a call from the farmer one field away..... they were laid by the stile where we normally walk them. Very weak incredibly thin but alive!!!! Simon has been out since nine this morning... another half an hour and he would have come back via the stile. Ben has been kept in at the vets he can't stand up !!!! Boo would be thrilled but she has a new bone as a treat and is too busy . I cannot even begin to tell you how very grateful I am to everyone.....I cannot believe how lovely complete strangers have been. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Never under estimate the power of the kindness of strangers. I am so grateful xxx

- Horse riders are already watching out, and everyone in the area seems to know about them. We tracked them further up the canal today and think they went as far as Wiseton.

- As i have said get hold of your local newspaper and get them to run an article with photos of the dogs it could be someone genuinely thought they had been dumped .Also local Radios stations.Any riding stables in the area? Get a poster out to them. They are up higher and see around more. Dont lose faith they are there somewhere xxxx

- UPDATE POSTED FROM OWNER ON FB LAST NIGHT:
Update on today's activities. I went with Phebe Cooper and her tracker dog whispa to the Gate Inn at clarborough where there had been a sighting. Whispa picked up a scent and took us four miles towards Clayworth where the trail veered off west across farmland. St this point we had to stop poor Whispa was exhausted. Simon my husband walked the five mile walk we do with Ben and Amber whistling and calling. No joy. A lady reported that she saw two dogs like mine being picked up in a dark blue car on leverton road near the grove turning on Sunday at about one. She thought they may have been an older couple. Car was headed towards Leverton. Does ANYONE know anything about this car? Did anyone else see it. Maybe this couple don't have access to social media and are unaware that we are looking for Ben and Amber. Has anyone noticed anyone with dogs they don't normally have? These dogs have GOT to be somewhere. I refuse to believe I won't get them back. Please please keep sharing. If anyone is in the Clayworth area and west if it can you please keep looking. Someone has just reported seeing two labrador type dogs loose near the village of Blaxton... is anyone near there who could check? I am so grateful to you all for your kindness and your time. Please keep sharing - 2016-12-14 21:15 Unknown
- Have you thought of going to the local media for help?

"Why am I posting at half five of the morning clock? Because I got up to make sure that the gate is open so that if Ben and Amber come back they can get in.....because getting up and straining to see into the farmers field to see if they are there is better than lying in bed imagining that all sorts of awful things have happened to them. And just to ask you to please please share again. I apologise if I'm boring the wider world but someone must have seen these dogs They are very distinctive. Every day of my life for the last eleven years I have most probably threatened to kill Ben with my bare hands. He has done every bad thing he could think of . Eaten every birthday cake at every birthday celebration. Stolen the very expensive joint of beef lovingly prepared for 13 new year guests. Filched all the cakes and scones made for every school fair. Terrorised the postman. Run away. Climbed into the ironing basket and made himself a small nest whilst mucked up to the eyeballs. Generally just done his best to ruin my happiness!!! But he is the kindest most trusting dog. Amber has followed meekly in his wake , the gentlest most eager to please soul.We don't think she knows how to bark because he makes enough noise for two of them. When we got a new puppy Boo in April they must have been mortified. A cheeky naughty quite frankly bloody nuisance pup appearing in your life when you are the dog equivalent of 77 is never good. But they were so tolerant and so accepting. She has become Ben's favourite wrestling partner .The house is deathly quiet. And Boo the pup is depressed!! Someone must have these dogs. Somewhere. I'm finding it hard to believe that they would still be wandering. Someone would have seen them. They will be cold and tired and hungry. Maybe it's someone who doesn't have facebook. Please can you spread the word. If not by sharing this then by word of mouth. I pray that if someone has got them and doesn't intend to give them back that they are kind to them and love them. As we love them. Because the alternative is just too awful to think about. Please please keep sharing . People I have never even met have been so kind. Incredibly kind . In a world where we have a diet of bad news on the tv and the radio every single day I have been reminded of the fact that we should never underestimate the power of the kindness of strangers. I am so grateful. Please keep sharing . Xx"
Hope you find your lovely dogs soon X - 2016-12-14 15:01 Doglover
