Thank you for updating on the word "chasing" . Hope you are successful in further sightings and can eventually get this dog to.safety. Slowly slowly are probably the best words to go for at the moment.Last edited: 2016-12-16 19:12:11 by ClaireC

Just wanted to add to comments on here that nobody has actually been chasing the dog - we are reporting sightings via our FB group Lost and Found Pets in Wrexham and Surrounding areas and people have been leaving food etc when sighted. I just wanted to clear that up as some of the replies seem to imply that people are chasing the dog around!

Mainly posting in case an owner does come forward and report the dog missing that at least we will have a record of what areas the dog has been spotted in.
ClaireC
When sighted again, please try not to chase as you are making him/her more frightened than already is! Sit down quietly with tit bits and gently throw towards. Very importantly dont make eye contact but more observe. He is exhausted and will lay down nearby while he takes stock of whats good and whats not so good. I would say this dog has been dumped in an unfamiliar area, may even have been stolen orginally. Last edited: 2016-12-16 14:17:09 by ClaireC

Hollieberry yes, I have been advising people not to chase him.

Admin please give advice .Jostenning chasing the dog is not the answer ,when the dog is laid down someone needs to sit where dog can see you .Entice the dog close by gently throwing a tit bit one at a time until the dog gets close to you.
Hollieberry
Poor poor dog I hope someone catch, not sure its a dachshund though .

Have added a photo someone took as he ran past - looks like a dachshund cross maybe a Yorkshire terrier type x
