HELP NEEDED ... Possible sighting 9/2/17 ...
Owners latest post regarding Piri ...

Hello again kind souls - I need your help again, as my Piri may have been spotted yesterday (09/02), driven to Abbeywell Vets in Folkestone, then lost again as she ran off. See recap of the events below from Andy Cann:
"I stoped earlier on today to help this cat that had been run over near Table Table in Cheriton, there was a young girl in the road trying to help it, we knocked a few doors but no one knew who it was so I phoned the vet and took it to Abbeywell at the top end of Folkestone where it escaped from my arms. It seemed ok and was still moving around fine, had a limp on rear leg and a small bleed from front paw. Last seen heading in to Big garden/park behind Augusta Gardens and Trinity Gardens just off Sandgate Road."
In the last few weeks, some of you very kindly printed and distributed my poster (below) in people's mailboxes and around the eurotunnel area where she had originally gone missing. It would mean the world to me if some of you living in Folkestone could do the same again for me in Sandgate Road area, as this very recent possible sighting may be my chance to find her.
I've attached photos of the cat that was seen yesterday and of my Piri. As you can see the resemblance is striking.
THANK YOU SO MUCH as ever to all of you who have been wonderful from the start, Daphné"

You are right Dougal. My friends missing Indoor cat was fpound hiding in next doors garden. Also cats are notorious for keeping very still, and quite whilst hiding. I dont think she would have gone too far (Doubtful) but if you think it is possible ask local children any hidey holes they may know of. Fingers, and paws xd She will be relieved to be reunited with his owner.Last edited: 2016-12-19 08:28:44

Indoor cats will often panic and hide close to where they are lost. It may take some days for them to be brave enough to start moving about.

This link has some great information about how they are likely to behave and how best to go about searching for them. Bedding or litter tray contents placed close to where she was last seen may help her settle and be brave enough to come out. Familiar sounds such as the rattle of a treat packet or familiar toy might tempt her out of hiding. I did read of one indoor cat who was tempted out of hiding after a week, by the sound of a tape measure being dragged - it was his favourite toy. He had been ignoring his owners calls for days and was found no more than four houses from home.

I hope it helps and you manage to find her very soon. x

If she is an Indoor cat she will be hiding, and very frightened. she will also be very quiet, and still. And has probnbaly taken refuge somewhere. It may be a good idea to borrow a cat trap, and put something with her scent on inside; dreamies too. You can borrrow a cat trap from Cat Protection. You pay £50, which is refundable when the trap is returned. If you see her dont try, and grab her or she will feel "Threatened" and run off again. If anything like my cats. Indoor cats nearly always feel safer, and secure in their own homes wth their owners. Hope you find her soon. Paws xd.Last edited: 2016-12-18 22:00:00
