Thanks nalamissing for that. Just wondered.

It has probably got something to do with how he was recovered, which isn't detailed on here. I am sure the owners will be having him neutered now and are overjoyed to have him back.

Maybe there is a way you can tell if a dog has been used as a stud? Perhaps someone on Doglost will know?
A dog owner friend tells me that male dogs can be neutered at six months old. And it prevents testicular cancer. Maybe the owners thought 9 months too young.

I do not understand how owner knows that Zeus has been used as a stud dog, do they know where he has been all this time, or know the people that stole him?.....
Welcome home Zeus
Debbie123
Am very happy course - it’s wonderful - but as a point 9 months isn’t too young I don’t think although I’m not an expert - my boy was done at 6 months - and I will always spread the word about this as dog theft is on the rise big time and the main reason is to use dogs for breeding because of the huge amount of money that can b made by one dog - my little girl was used for breeding and had pups every 6 months for 3.5 years - before she got rescued - if she had been done this wouldn’t have happened to her and her insides wouldn’t b such a mess and she wouldn’t b such a scared little thing

How do 'they' know he was used for breeding?
Fab news though!

Fair enough. I thought he was an adult. Merry Christmas x
Janika
I must add that Zeus was only 9 months old when we went missing so neutering hadn’t been done yet . His family were so distraught and heartbroken when he ran off after the jogger while out oh his walk, let’s please just share the happiness with them that after all this time Zeus is home . He was to be neutered but he was a little too young for it to have been done . Happy Christmas to Zeus and his family . XxLast edited: 2018-12-09 08:59:34 by Janika

Always best to have your dogs neutered, Have a great Christmas, Zeus, and family. And what a fantastic early Christmas present for Zeus, and his family. Stay very close now Zeus. Look forward to seeing a reunited photo in time. All smiles here xLast edited: 2018-12-09 07:29:39
