There was a sighting this morning on the Abbotts Ann estate, then another really near where he was hit, and then finally some one saw him in the next village down where the owner headed. She went into the road where he had been seen and just kept calling him and he appeard. She took him for a vet check up but amazingly he seems ok. I was informed at the time he had been hit hard and spun round a few times, which I hadn't shared at the time fearing the worse. A very lucky little dog and family. Thank you to all who went out searching for him last night and today. And thank you to the person who saw it happen and alerted us, as at that time I don't think even the owners realised he was missing.

It was me who was contacted when someone saw Alfie being hit and I put it on social media. The Dog Warden went out and spoke to people but no one in the area had seen anything. It was passing motorist that had witnessed the collision. Alfie is not far from home but the last sighting was the other (Farleigh/Red Rice) side of the Andover to Salisbury Road. The owners are following up a sighting that they had this morning and lots of people have been out searching. However there is a lot of private land and at the moment no permission to access. I have also heard there is a shoot going on today.
People have been out with Binnoculars this morning looking (on both sides of the main road) and I have already given the owner some advice and provided her with Jenny and Tigas number, however if he is on private land with a shoot going on I very much doubt they will allow anyone near.
