  • Other Info Very kind lady took him in and looked after him over Christmas. She then went out and saw our posters and returned him home. We are so so greatful.

Christmas Period Procedures
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home will be the drop off point for stray dogs from 24 to 27 December and 31 Dec to 2 Jan. If you find a stray dog on one of these dates, you will need to take the dog to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home or hold the dog until the dog warden is back on duty. The dog warden will be on duty on 28, 29 and 30 to collect stray dogs. Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is open 24/7 for walk-in strays and the address is below:

If your dog goes missing over the Christmas period, it is advised that you report it missing to both the Council on 0208 726 6000 and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home on 0207 627 9245.
The dog warden is on duty:
Weekdays: 8am to 4pm. - please call 020 8726 6200.
Weekends and bank holidays: 9am to 5pm - please call 020 8726 6000.

Draw curtains and play music to mask sound of fireworks.

Try not to leave your pets on their own during fireworks.

Create a safe and secure "bunker" in a familiar place at home.
