- Just read a post off “Lost and found pets in Hillingdon”, that shows a photo of a staffy with identical markings, that is microchipped, and checked , with its name being Dexter, says the dog is now at Goddards vet in Northolt. Hope this is your baby!Last edited: 2018-06-18 22:24:24 by Janice

- Hi Olieh, yes we have recently checked this picture. The link was also kindly posted to us by Skyninchar. The resemblance is uncanny, the dog in the picture is the spitting image of Dexter. Unfortunately though, Leigh cats and dogs home have confirmed that the little dog in the picture is a female:-( but hopefully she will be reunited with her owners soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to send us that link, and for your support. Kind regards from Iona.

- Hello Skyninchar, we were really grateful for your post and link. The dog in the picture is the double of Dexter.. though we've been in contact with the animal sanctuary and it has been confirmed that the dog in their care is a female. But thanks again for your vigilance and support. Iona.

- Hi Mary, thanks for your message. The police are aware of Dexter going missing but we cannot be certain that he was stolen. I must stress that the possible recent sighting of Dexter is not a certainty. We received the information before the picture posters were put up, so the information was based on the initial posters and it's been claimed that a dog fitting Dexter's description has been seen in that area.
However, until we see the dog being walked, we won't know whether or not it is actually Dexter. It's really important that the search for Dexter is not restricted to that area... as it may not have been him. We will continue to scan that area until we can see the dog described. Thank you again so much for your support. Iona. - 2017-03-19 21:21 skyninchar

- Iona, you should also report Dexter to the police as stolen and send the CRN to DogLost to update the status to stolen. Theft by finding is an offence even if he was found rather than stolen in the first place.

- Hi Albayr, thanks again, we appreciate it's a sensitive issue, so please don't worry about not disclosing your location, that's perfectly understandable. We are just grateful for your support and vigilance. We posted the doglost.uk posters tonight through letterboxes on the Walham Green Court estate in the hope that it might urge somebody to come forward with information. If anything comes to light at your end and you would rather phone/text than post a message, that is fine also. We've received more than one call on possible sightings of Dexter being walked on the ramp/concourse in that area so we are just holding out. We keep details confidential, so no worries okay. Thanks again. Kindest regards, Iona.

- I live on one of those roads you've mentioned (don't want to say on here which one) so I will definitely be more observant around that area you mentioned.
- 2017-03-18 15:56 Iona
- We have received information that Dexter may have been seen in the Walham Green (estate) area... opposite Fulham Broadway Tube Station. We are following this up so please all keep your eyes peeled particularly in that area (near to Waterford Road SW6) and the main concourse (ramp) to the estate, with entrances on Fulham Road, Cedarne Road, and Moore Park Road. This is not a certain sighting so please keep an eye out in all surrounding areas of where Dexter went missing.. just incase the information we received was not related to Dexter. We will continue to update. Thank you all again so very much! Ionax.

- It might be worth going into the various shops that are just past the cemetery and asking them to keep an eye out for Dexter. I had a walk through the cemetery the other and thought that he might be hanging out there. I will continue to look out for him. x
- 2017-01-02 09:02 Mary
- My understanding is you use your own diluted pee to spray for Dexter to follow home. You don't want to lead Dexter across busy roads or towards the railway lines. If you have a garden, leave the gate open and some bedding for him to settle with. Admin may not pick up this post so best to email them or phone for full scenting advice.
- 2017-01-02 02:00 Iona
- Hi Mary, I've been checking the cemetery and put around 25 posters up in there... though the staff took them down I think:-( I also spoke to security staff there but they've not seen him. The gaps beneath the gates are too small for him to come and go freely after the gates are locked. But I guess he could be sleeping in there. He is familiar with the cemetery as we walk him there often. And we live very nearby. Please tell me more about the scenting advice. Kindest regards from Iona.
- 2017-01-02 01:14 Mary
- Iona, Dexter could be sleeping in Brompton Cemetery, which is opposite? Do you live nearby and have you been given scenting advice? You could try leaving something of Dexter's in a safe place on the forecourt.
- 2017-01-02 00:21 Iona
- Thank you all so much for your support. There was another sighting of Dexter, at the same place (Tesco garage on Fulham Road) opposite Ifield Road SW10 the day after boxing day (27th Dec) at approx 10am. This means that he made his way to the same site on two consecutive mornings so we are convinced that he is trying to make his way home. This is also the site that we lost him. Please everyone keep a look out. Over 100 posters have gone up in the area so far. Many thanks. Iona x.

- It would be worth adding in W14 postcode to alerts as it is adjacent to SW10 if heading west. Also W6 and W8.
You need to get posters up especially around south Kensington Tube and the Tesco Expeess on Fulham Road near the cinema. Fulham Broadway too.
Quite a few rough sleepers in these areas with dogs who may have seen something.

- Sorry to see that DEXTER SIGHTED is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
