I love collies, have 3 of my own and this one is spitting image of one of mine; which pulled on my heart strings 😢 I was hoping he had been reunited but he is called Mac and at Leigh Dogs and Cats Home. I'm just praying he gets his forever home; I wish I could offer a home to more dogs, I love them so much. Xxx

Mel ..I register found straying dogs to give owners chance to find their dogs. If dog us unclaimed after 7 days becomes property of kennels so dog is changed to reunited on doglost.co.uk. dog could either be reunited with owners or looking for new home / rehomed or gone to rescue. I would be interested where thus dog is now as you say you are aware.

Why do people not try claim their dogs are they not bothered it makes me so mad yes lets hope he goes to a loving home all animals deserve this x

Marbie - I totally agree with you that 7 days is not enough but that is the law unfortunately. I put these found dogs on here in the hope that some owners may find their missing dogs (and I will continue to do so). This dog is a lovely dog and I hope that he can now find his / her forever home.

Jenkins I was hoping he'd been found by his owners especially given where he was as he's a gorgeous dog. I wish him well in getting a lovely home. I know it's nothing to do with you but I often think 7 days isn't long enough as there are still a lot of people who don't have access to the internet and therefore this wonderful site especially the elderly and they often don't have anyone to help with searching either. More eyes and feet work wonders as this site shows. Thanks for answering though :) x

Marbie - for future stray dogs at this site, I will change the wording to read "no longer on stray list - has either been collected by owner, rehomed / for rehoming or gone to rescue. He / she has served his / her 7 days so is now the property of LCDH - if anyone has any queries, please contact LCDH direct".
As far as Dog Lost is concerned, he is reunited as he has served his 7 days and is now property of LCDH.

This dog still seems to be on the Leigh Cats and Dogs home website on the looking for homes page, named as Mac. I have just been looking at it.

No longer on LCDH website. This dog has either been collected by owner, rehomed or gone to rescue. If anyone has any queries, please contact LCDH direct. As unsure of reunited date, I will use today's date.
