- No recent updates on either of these two. So many travellers around Donny & Leeds at the minute hard to know where to start. Seems too much of a coincidence they where taken and vanished into thin air since.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Think the lake you describe is the right one Tracy, but no more sightings of these two similar dogs there since. Owners also thinks its possible they could have passed hands and gone to the Doncaster area. Have taken more posters to owner today and seen where the dogs are kept. There is no way this was a'chance' theft! Whoever stole them would have had to know they were there as they are kept in quite a secure and secluded area. This theft was well planned and if they had not been disturbed they may well have made off with more dogs. if you can get your Mum to do the usual with posters Tracy it would be a big help ! I was pleased with the coverage in the dogs got in the Barnsley Chronicle and will email to thank them for covering the storyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- yes Keelah, Arnie and Polo's owner spoke to me today and said they were in the Countrymans Weekly. As a result of this article he has had a call with a possible sighting of both dogs two days after they were stolen. The caller was not local but was visiting a lake in Barnsley to do some fishing and they saw a youth walking two dogs round the lake which matched the description exactly of Arnie and Polo. They remembered the dogs well as they actually commented to the youth what a fine pair of dogs they were and he did not reply to them. We had delivered a batch of posters to the owner this morning and he has posted some of them in the area around the lake.We will be going for walks in this area over the weekend Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I am back home again now and saw this last night but it wouldnt et me make a posting ! GRRR Have spoken to owner ths afternoon ...... he does'nt think the dogs found at Shefield are his as neither of his dogs had collars on when taken but will follow up on these dogs myself to make sure. he has no photos at all so will have to try and find a similar photo and he s trying tos ee if he hasa photo of the grandfather of one of them as it is very similar. The dogs were seen to be stolen by a neighbour and when he challenged the thieves they ped a third dog they were also about to steal and ran off with the other two . Certain names have been mentioned as being involved and owner is very active in his quest to get his dogs back. we are going out tonight to in a certain area fort any signs of these dogs! - As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Arnie well. Stay safe Arnie until you are home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
