Hi, sorry I am late responding, but if your grey is tatooed you may be able to find the info on www.greyhounddata.com which give the sire and dam and history of dog and races, if any, raced. The tattoos give even the date of birth of dog and are accurate to the day. How are things there, don't give up, our foster dog Tom (a suluki cross) went missing but thankfully we have him back - this charity is amazing at organising things. I also have a grey girl myself Fern, who is white and brindle an ex-Irish racer, so I know how precious these dogs become to owners. If you need any more information, just email me. Found some info on internet which says Irish Bred dogs have two letters in right ear and three letters in left, so probably thats it, will try the irish coursing council, which apparently hold the recordsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

BC, if you do not get the info you need try contacting Sue & Keith by pm, see reunited Tom Lurcher Dog in North (WA7), they deal with rescue and are foster carers for Shopshire & Borders Retired Greyhound Trust. I do have their email address. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PS if i'm right the DN is in the right ear and is a registered mark, it's the left ear 3 lettered tattoo we need clarifying. Neither found nor this dog appear on the DN register.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can anyone check the original ear tattooes? according to the greyhound register they don't exist.... so BC if either this or the found one have misinterpreted tattoos you could be onto something. Jayne?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Lassie well. Stay safe girl, until you are home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
