I also agree with Jaycey, but ref. Bully, what a clever dog managing to run away from the travellers!!
DogLostSandra Watt
I agree with shops displaying notice in the shops about dangers of leaving dogs tied up outside and believe doglost pr deoartment could issue posters to all members to circulate as much as possible.
Unknown
That is a good idea Jaycey. about sjhops putting up warning nocices about dog theft.
Jaycey
Heart lifting news!...Welcome home beautiful boy..Stay safe..I noted from VetsGetScanning post that he was taken from shops. .We need to spread the word as much as possible not to leave something so precious outside shops!..Whenever I see one, I wait with it until the owner arrives back (about 14 to now) I explain about the increase in dog theft and ask them not to leave their dogs tied up outside shops..All the owners have thanked me and said they had no idea dog theft was going on and would no longer leave their dogs in future...I think all shops should have warning signs up - this would certainly get word out their and advise unknowing dog owners x

How Evil were those travellers who snatched Him, but How Wonderful that a lovely person Found & scanned Him - & that there is such a Wonderful site as Doglost for distraught owners to Register their Missing Pets in the hope that they will one day be Reunited
Well Done Everyone
Stay very safe now Lovely Bully Boy x

WOW! as always pleased when a Frenchie gets back as I set this site up when my Frenchie was stolen.....who is the spitting image of Bully! Thank you to all volunteers, co-ordinators and admin that we can give a fully searchable data base (which takes up a considerable amount of time to put all dogs on)..so the kind person who scanned and found no chip ... could search and find contact details for owner....makes all our time worthwhile.

Good and bad in every society - I've known some very honest and decent members of our travellers community. Great news the little dog is home. ...footnote from admin...totally agree with you Simon....we have helped a lot of travellers get there dogs back..and they are helping us with other missing dogs.

How he was found....

I was asked to go and scan this lovely boy late on Monday night. He was picked up running from a traveller site in Fallowfield. After finding no chip, I took to Doglost to see if there were any similar ones missing.
I came across a dog called Bully. Stolen before Christmas in Sheffield, Bully's owners were desperate to get him back and had set up a fb group to try to find him.
Yesterday Bully's owner made the journey from Sheffield to South Manchester, and were finally reunited with him. It was such an amazing moment, with tears all round.Safely micro-chipped now.
Welcome home Bully!!

Whats happening with Bully - everything appears to have gone quiet for this little chap? ANY NEWS? Has he been found. If not the owner MUST get a CRN number. It is so important dogs that are STOLEN are correctly recorded and not left in LOST. A true account for ALL dogs STOLEN must be recorded as the crime has hit the roof.
cockerspaniellover
Did Bully have a red collar? Might be worth checking the found section as one has been sighted, not caught. Not your area but could have been picked up and dumped. The finder says the dog appears to be limping on back leg?? May be worth a phone call - just a thought xx
Jane
Can you please get the CRN from the police as it's pretty obvious you lovely dog has been STOLEN and not lost?
nedk
Is this bully?

This is the next street from where Bella was stolen.
Owners should get together see if the papers will do a story for them both.
