- According to one post on fb, the dog was chipped & owner traced, had been in a road traffic accident. I think the fb page is Wallasey Gossip, but I am not a member on there to verify ( it was on a crossposted one) if someone wants to verify

- Any reason why the photo showing colour and collar was deleted? There's a jrt deceased photo which is more upsetting than this one?

- It's not farmers land. I'd guess RTA but with nothing to factually back that up.

- Skyninchar, the wound that you have mentioned is in the area of the dog's heart - left side, behind elbow. Like yourself, I hope this wasn't a deliberate act.
Thank you to the person who took this picture and cared - both for the dog and any owner who may be searching.

"I was walking my dogs on the Sandhills, Wallasey approx 12pm today when we came across this deceased young female staffie. It was brindle and had a collar but no dog tag. I told some police officers who were nearby and they called the dog warden to remove it. If this is your dog please contact the dog warden as I have no further details. Very sad."
