- Very sad update. Toffee was found this morning exactly a month after he disappeared, sadly already gone to Rainbow Bridge. https://www.facebook.com/helpfindtoffee/photos/a.547615752106127.1073741829.546844212183281/559559224245113/?type=3&theater

- Thank you so much to everyone who has commented, shared and offered me advice. I have followed all the advice including calling at night, putting out food, familiar smells, putting up posters and giving out leaflets. I'm continuing to go out each day and at night when I have company to look / call for him.
There are a few other cats around my area, however I don't know if they are dominant or not... Toffee is absolutely huge and so I don't think he would be chased away, but if he has been it is good to know that cats do come back home.
The next step I plan to take is asking neighbours to check their sheds in person, as they may have ignored the leaflets I put through the door...
Thank you everyone for your support x

- Toffee also has a Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/helpfindtoffee/ Sharing and tweeting.
Neutered cats do not usually go far from home. It's possible he may have gotten shut in a shed, garage or outhouse so do visit all your neighbours, give them a poster and ask if they can check or even better ask if you can look with them as frightened cats will often hide from strangers but will show themselves if they hear a familiar voice. If any neighbours are not in leave a poster through their letterbox. Am sharing and tweeting for Toffee and really hope he is safely home very soon x - 2017-01-09 08:52 Unknown
- Presume all sheds, garages, greenhouses, empty houses, and cellars etc checked? Put some tuna in his dish and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle sopme treats too. Put scented items of
toffee into a clean container; blanket/bedding/soft toy, along with a scented item of yours too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wkipe his scent on all your garden fences, gates, doors too. Take a walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some dreamies. Someone could be feediong him. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract his attention. Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too. And ask around
Neutered male cats usually have a territory of about 4/7 garden spaces as to whetre they live So he should be around somewhere Is there a domiant cat in the area? Because sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory, however the cat normally returns after a few days. Paws xd.Last edited: 2017-01-09 08:55:00 - 2017-01-08 11:51 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer
