Just the best news - well done all. Special mention to Jenny & Yogi, who, as always, were amazing. Also to Hettys family who have searched endlessly since she went missing on Sunday morning. So glad it was a good outcome, especially given some of the roads she chose to use!!

Whooo hoooo!! Hetty is now safe with her mum. She looks very bedraggled which is to be expected but hopefully will be fine after some tlc from her very relieved family.
Thank you so much to LC who found her in her garden and did exactly the right things! I'll bet it was lovely to watch Hetty's reunion with her family.
Many thanks to Zoe, Jenny and also to all who have helped by sharing, postering and searching for Hetty. We have a wonderful team in your area and we are all very grateful.
I'm sure Carole will update us herself later on.
Welcome home Hetty!!

Someone has just posted that Hetty is her garden in Hellingly! Thankfully they rang her owners and they and Jenny have arrived to see if they can catch her. I've got everything crossed and I'm almost sure we will have some good news soon.
Just have to be very patient!!

Just to update everyone looking at the page. The latest info was that Hetty was seen going through a garden in in Horam near the Cuckoo trail at 7.15 am. Jenny has managed to find the house (Kingswell) and is still out there tracking. There was another possible sighting nearby in Laundry Lane but having contacted the lady who posted about it we now think that this was a local dog that has been seen out on the lane before.
We need another sighting now! If anyone is able to help by putting posters up in the area it would really help please. Anywhere along the Cuckoo trail between Horam and Hellingly and any other places in the area of Horam etc. Thanks!
Ferret Jane
Please phone owners with postcode of any sighting this morning. Tracking dog in area but need more detailed location if possible.

Aw Dear Hetty, come on little one time to go home ......hope you get her today xx
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Thanks Clarkey - that's great news to hear that this is the second sighting we have heard about since we got home and indicates that Yogi was spot on today with both of them.

I've just seen this comment on the post that I shared on my timeline
"I think I saw that dog running past wellshurst golf club towards Horam I was recovering a car three cars pulled over to catch it but I didn't see if they did it might be worth asking in that area she was soaking wet looked very tired and it was about 2.30pm"
I've spoken to a member of the family and apparently this also ties in with the tracking done today. Info will be passed on to Jenny for tomorrow.
Juls
Come on hetty , time to go home , fingers crossed x x best wishes

Bumped due to sighting.
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Zoe that would be great if you could find out more about your possible sighting because that ties in with where Yogi tracked this afternoon from an 8.30 sighting.

Thanks for your update Carole. Great to hear that Yogi was on the trail with Jenny today and it sounds as though Hetty's staying in roughly the same area. Thankfully the rain seems to have stopped now so hopefully you will get more news of her whereabouts from local people and helpers. Fingers
crossed Hetty's found very soon.
(PS Just a thought .. does the Gun Inn serve food? If so, maybe Hetty would be attracted to the smells there. Might be worth checking out later on this evening) Last edited: 2017-01-09 18:45:48 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
Carole
she was seen on A22 Sunday lunch time & went towards Gun Hill via Chiddingly. Today Monday 9th she was seen at around 9 am going down a bridle path just beyond the Gunn Inn. We believe she is still in this area, we were fortunate that a lady who has a tracker dog lent us her services and found her scent in that area. Unfortunately the weather and darkness were against us but will resume first thing tomorrow. Many thanks for everyone on the lookout and for the sighting phone calls.

So sorry to see that Hetty is still missing. I have sent out our Doglost advice email which should help with the search for Hetty.
Thanks Zoe for advising and searching. Thanks also to everyone else who is helping find Hetty.
Carole: As Annette says, we have a brilliant team in the area so if you need help please just ask on the page.
Hetty's likely to be holed up in this wet weather so may not be out and about until it improves. If searching in the rain then please double check anywhere she could shelter/hide from the elements.. hedges, undergrowth, under tree stumps, outbuildings etc. She is likely to start moving around again when it stops raining.
Just wondering if Hetty is near to her home? IF so, she may try to make her way back there.
POSTERS are the most important thing please as they are the way to let others know to look out for Hetty and will be how you get sightings coming in.
Please put regular updates on this page so all of us know how the search is going and how best to help you. Very best of luck with finding your girl.
Annette

I have spent a couple of hours driving the lanes on the Chiddingly side of the A22 then walked from The Gun @Gun Hill along the bridleway through Strood Farm, then back to the pub via the Wealdway. I'm trying to get more info on the sighting to establish which way Hetty was heading when the horse rider saw her. When I got back to the car, the local postman was emptying the postbox so asked him to keep an eye open and gave him the owners phone numbers. I have advised them to poster the areas between Laughton/Chiddingly/East Hoathley/Gun Hill. I know they have been out looking again today. Hopefully Hetty will show herself this afternoon. X

Possible sighting in Gun Hill this morning @ 9am...,I have advised owner. I'm heading over that way shortly.
Pointerlady
I have had a dog go missing twice in these woods and both times he has turned up at a bungalow with a kennels which is accessed from Park Lane down a very long track. It would be worth driving down there and making the gentleman aware. I cannot attach a snapshot of the location but from Park Lane with the land rover place on your left take an immediate right turn and bear left and he is right at the very end. Sorry but I do not have the details and I haven't walked these woods for some time. If you would like me to help, leave a message as I am in Chiddingly and around this afternoon.
