- Very likely SimonH. It would make more sense I think for Service personnel to put a family member ie parent, brother or sister as another contact who are based in England. It used to be that a Serviceman would have to ask permission to keep a dog if in married quarters. Maybe they should be asked for a microchip number as well and that would remind "them" to update chip details each time they moved stations!

- Foreign unregistered chip - could be a service families dog as they do tours abroad and many adopt. Shared to local Brize Norton services families Fb page.

- can anyone explain how this happens - dog is microchipped but nobody has a record of it?
when mine were chipped at vets i was given lots of paperwork...... so intrigued how or why whoever chipped this dog no paperwork was recorded by them or handed to dog owner - 2017-01-11 12:54 Observant Citizen
