- Fantastic that they managed to slip a lead on her.
Foster said she has had some warm food and now asleep on his clean laundry and ironing pile ! Can we remind everyone to take down posters to help with future cooperation from the public . - 2017-01-15 14:27 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- Well done Rach !There have no more sightings, as Ive just heard from the Dogs Trust. Thanks Linda, spot on there, the softly softly approach does work

- I agree with Elizabeth, my girl was very nervous and I got her back by throwing down garlic sausage, wrapped in tissue so she could see it and walked around without calling and no eye contact & she gradually followed & got closer until I could slip her lead on. She had tried to retrace her steps home, even though I had only had her a couple of weeks.

- Just returned from a five hour walk and search all around the area behind Gravel Pit Lane and further. I'm sorry to say absolutely no sighting of Azita but did bump into the Fosterer who told me a little more about Azita. I'm thinking perhaps she may be retracing her steps back from where she came maybe?? I have another free day tomorrow so will walk the area of Harp Hill with my dogs. So sorry.Last edited: 2017-01-14 17:54:19 by Rach16

- That's brilliant advice Elizabeth . Its so important [and hard] not to run up to your missing dog. They go feral very quickly as survival kicks in above anything else
- 2017-01-14 12:34 Elizabeth L - W
- My girl was also frightened of people trying to catch her. She was finally safe by sitting on the ground with no eye contact and throwing corned beef towards her direction so the smell caught the air, then throwing more shreds nearer and nearer till she took it from my hand but still sitting and no eye contact, then slipped slip lead over her head with one hand whilst still feeding her with the other,. She was ravenous by day 8 so that was an advantage. If I had got up and walked towards her she would have run again.Last edited: 2017-01-14 12:36:18 by Elizabeth L - W

- Thanks Rach16.Glad of your help. Its seeming she has moved from the town into a more Countrified area. Ive asked that local farms get checked, as there was a possibility she may be taking shelter in one
- 2017-01-14 11:50 Rach16
- I am local to this area. I'm just about to leave for walking. Will take extra leads and treats in case. Really hope today is the day she is found.

- sighting this morning around 10.30 heading away from London Rd towards Prestbury . Fosterer has been over but no more sightings since
- 2017-01-13 10:45 SimonH
- The A40 runs through Cheltenham and not far from the foster carer's address - I'd assume she was seen not long after she slipped out of the front door but it's unusual for her not to have been seen since, as it's a very busy area - edited due spelling error.
