Have spoken with owner and what she needs immediately is someone local with net access and a printer who can do some posters. Unfortunately I don't have printer. If anyone can help please call one of the numbers above.

Yes, we are only a few miles away and are standing by if needed. I hesitate before diving in, as I am hoping that he will appear today if enough publicity is done. But I am going to call his dog walker and discuss.

Does anyone know of any tracker dogs in this area in case the owners should need to contact them?

That's a shame :( On the search, remember to look into any bushes in the area in case he's simply hiding amongst them and not making any sound. Look into people's gardens where he might be hiding, knock a few doors and give flyers if you can.
Share on Facebook as much as possible now. All the FB dog sites such as Harveys Army, Murphy's Army, PAW-Helping Dogs in Need etc

He was off lead at the time so only has his harness on, he was scared by another dog running upto him :( the owners are going to take his cage over hopefully he comes back to it. Thank you

If he is very nervous I would add DO NOT CHASE to the poster, also the fact he is chipped.
Hopefully he'll be back by morning.
Gather the lead was not still attached?

I'll get them to notify everyone in the morning if they haven't done already, I've got a post on Facebook on my dog walking page that has been shared and it's one one of the local vets pages. I will be going to help search in the morning so will take some of the posters thank you x

Brilliant. I expect you are fond of the little guy too if you walk him regularly.
Hopefully he'll be found soon.
If they haven't already done so, they need to notify the chip company and inform vets, rescue centres and the dog warden asap.
If no news by the morning, get lots of posters out in the area. They can download them from here.
You could share with Facebook groups in that area now if you are a member. Someone might have picked him up and be sheltering him for the night....if he let them get near enough. Was his lead still attached?

I've sent the owners a message advising to do this, even take his cage that he sleeps in with the door open through the day he may feel like this is a safe place for him fingers crossed it works he must be so scared out there alone :(

That's good of you Dani. Even though Alfie doesn't know the area he might well go back to the place where he went missing. Can the owner's put an article of worn clothing there?
He could even make it back to their house if he has been there before. Can he get back into their garden or maybe porch (if it is safe to leave open whilst they are out).

I'm not sure of the distance from the relatives home I think it was the local park, he may go there from time to time but his home is in brinsworth. I believe he only went over for the day. The owners have been out looking since 4pm so I said I would put him on here so I don't have all the details

Alfie was staying with a family member although he has been out on walks there he doesn't live where he was lost, I doubt he will find his way back
