It could have ended so differently - so many are lost to the railways, that is why it is important to sign Cassie's fence campaign.

So pleased Harry is safely reunited x

Sorry just been reading earlier posts I dident realise he is lost in an area he does not know .
Hollieberry
Its always a worry when they are lost with lead still attached lack of sightings could be that his lead is caught up in something hedges bushes ect .Fingers crossed he is home soon .
Lesley
yes thank you. I know Jenny at K9 and may go that route in the next days. We have a tracker tomorrow coming to help and will see from there . I think we need a sighting. Nothing firm yet so we cant really continue searching without a sighting. He is lost in an EXTREMELY built up area so its hard to understand why he hasnt been sighted . The best for now is make sure everyone knows about him so that when he does show someone will recognise him. Thanks for the information about the allotment , we have had 2 searches there today and will continue to watch that area. Also checking the tracks.
Skywalker99
have you tried contacting www.k9tracker.co.uk?
Lolysmum
Hi, I work during the day but can be in that area by 4.15pm. I have been out the last couple of evenings. Is there anywhere in particular you would like me to look? I do hope he's found soon, dear pup xx
Wendy
Yes Paul I noticed allotment. Good idea to put poster on gate. Not many do much on the alloments at this time of year so would be quiet place for Harry to hide.
Paul
Looking around Cissbury Chase again today, I noticed the allotments are right next to it. Maybe worth putting up a poster up on the gates of the allotments and contacting West Tarring Allotments to put the word out. Maybe they might let some of us in to search.

There are lots of local people on the Brighton Dogwatch Facebook page asking for updates and offering help... It might be worth owner putting an update on there so that those wanting to help can do so with owner coordinating areas for them. Although this doglost link is on the post I don't think many people are actually coming here for the latest. Hopefully if owner also coordinates with them on there... More help will be on hand, especially after possible sighting this morning (as nobody on the page knows about this) :-( I really hope Harry is found safe soon xLast edited: 2017-01-17 22:11:08 by Julie B

Possible sighting this morning up by Cissbury Chase, owner is there but no further sightings. Good that the posters are working! x
Lesley
Hi all. Lots of fliers and posters distributed today. Thanks to everyone searching. Tomorrow we will have a coordinated search starting at midday . If you cant join at midday then please let me know and and you are welcome to join in the afternoon. Harry doesnt have a tag, he was less than 24hrs in his adopted home. He is a friendly confident puppy that should come to you , especially if you have food. He hasnt been sighted at all so it is possible his lead is caught up somewhere so we will search earlier than we normally would. If we dont find him tomorrow we will use tracker dog on Weds and revert to other actions such as a trap. Thank you to everyone who is looking , if you wish to join the search tomorrow that will be great . Please call me on 07764 788811 my name is Lesley

Could admin put in the header that this pup has a lead attached ?
Hollieberry
It could be that Harry is caught up in something by his lead, have you checked bushes ect to where he was last sighted
Wendy
Maybe someone has taken Harry in. Was he tagged with phone number? I looked all round field place earlier today. No sighting. How long had Harry been with owners? If not long where had he come from. Lots of questions but the more we know we can focus searches accordingly. If he gets sighted we can put bait down in the area and take it in turns to watch the area.
Paul
Hi Lesley. Sorry Harry hasn't turned up yet. Do you live near Cissbury Chase? It might be worth telling us roughly where you live as he might try and make his way home and will give us a bigger area to search. Also, have you tried looking around Field Place? It is quite open there and has lots of places for him to not be seen. Could be worth having a word with staff in all the different buildings there. Lastly, is he scared of being approached by strangers/other dogs etc?
Wendy
Was out from about 11am this morning for an hour or so. Spoke to locals, some dog walkers. Showed them photo. No sightings. Was Harry new to the area?
Lesley
Kim was out at 6 am this morning, but no sightings as yet. We are hoping now vets are open again today somebody may have picked him up and waiting for them to open to get him scanned. Building sites have been contacted and being asked to search.

I will go out tomorrow morning with my dog. If there are safe areas I can let her off lead to hunt. If Harry spots her he may well show himself. Do hope he is found safe and well.

Thanks Paul. Dog warden said Grove Lodge always contact him but I will check with them again in the morning . Thanks for the comment. Any more ideas are welcome
Paul
Lesley, have you been in touch with Grove Lodge? (The main one). Even if Harry hasn't been injured, people often take found pets there so they can be scanned.
Lesley
Transport police confirmed no sightings on the railway and dog warden hasnt been contacted . Tomorrow we will have posters for anyone searching. Please ask me for some and they will be at a local address
Lesley
Thank you Paul for looking
Lesley
Wendy , yes please if you can help can you contact Kim 07570 827811. Kim has been out today and has others joining tomorrow. I am having posters printed for tomorrow that you will be able to collect . Or please call me 07764 788811 . Thank you x
Paul
Hi Wendy. I spent half an hour this afternoon looking around Cissbury Chase. One of the problems around there is there are many places for Harry to go and not be seen. For example, the gardens of houses which have no one living in them and hardly any of the garages have doors on them so he could be taking shelter in one of those. I'm going back later for another look.
Wendy
Any sightings of Harry? Have searches been organized? I am willing to help organise.
