Lozmilzak - I see below that you offered help as you live nearby - would you be able to help with postering and maybe leaflet drop to any houses nearby. I can print for you if it helps and post to you - if this of interest please contact me on jenkinsdoglost@hotmail.com. Somebody may find the puppy and take him in so we need to get the word out there. Is there anyone who could contact local newspaper.
nedk
Hope someone in that area is out looking it freezing out and the poor puppy needs finding asap. Hope for some good news soon x

I Would suggest posters go up ( download from here ) to get sightings & I understand Peanut lives near-by so scenting to home would be a good course of action.

I visited the scene of the accident earlier as the car was being lifted out and fortunately no sign of the dog under the car as was feared. Owner said he was in the hatchback at the time and a window was shattered in the crash and Peanut was nowhere to be seen . Car was upside down in a small ditch down a steep bank

Hopefully everyone on scene has checked for any small spaces in car that Peanut could have crawled into / got trapped in, especially any areas that have been compressed due to the impact, or indeed under the wreckage.
