Another great reunion party going on tonight I should think - this gives a big boost to long term lost dog owners that maybe the chip will get them home eventually. Owners have just shy of a year to catch up on and I bet that's started with some big sloppy dog kisses. Great start to the weekend - here's hoping that some other long termers my be coming home soon !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Replaced Jessies poster at Earlswood Lakes main Car Park today. There are now 8 different dog lost posters there so must attract attention.(probably the councils!). Also put a new one on telegraph pole by top lake as the ones on the railings were taken down (same time as the graffitti was removed so think this was the council - cable ties went as well.) Come on Jessie get youself home for Christmas :)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Quite a few posters still up in Whitebushes, have replaced some in places where they will probably be gone again tomorrow but only because that is the nature of the local youth! Has anyone been round Earlswood Park recently? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry you haven't had any news, you have put so many posters up, looks as if Jessie was picked up and taken out of the area, think we need to get more over the Godstone way esp after the two JRT's stolen from Oxted! Keep looking..and postering- if you need a boost look at Digby Border Terrier reunited South East July! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you for the messages. Got a phone call to say that they thought they had seen Jessie tied up outside Sainsburys at Redhill on Wednesday, she had a pink collar. The lady had seen the posters and couldnt remember Jessie's name, will go down to Sainsburys tomorrow with some posters. Have put some posters in Godstone although driving through this evening noticed that some had been pulled down, so will put some more there.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to say I had neglected this page although I have been in the picture with Epsom Canine Rescue and JanS. Will try and get out that way to check out the area. Details of rescues passed on to owner and the search on Saturday was without luck unfortunately. Owner advised to ask for help and advise in locating hole if Jessie is there. Thanks everyone for keeping your eyes peeled. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have put more posters up on Whitebushes Estate where Bushfield Drive is, not sure how long they will stay there but there are a few laminated ones amongst them, fixed with cable ties and gaffer tape so not too easy to rip down. I understand that there are quite a few JRT types in the area so will just have to wait and see. There was also a lady at Earlswood Lakes this afternoon with a dog that looked very like Jessie, she comes from Coulsdon and usally walks in that area, her dog is usually on a long leash as she can be a bit tetchy. Thanks for pm Niamh, I've just heard from Nikki that she has arranged to meet you on Saturday morning, with one of her terriers and a shovel ! She said you had a sighting on the common last week and she is convinced that Jessie is underground but unfortunately is not able to offer help before the weekend. Is there anyone with a terrier/working dog that can help the search before then ????? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you so much to all who have helped put up posters in the area and around, especially Xenas mum. I have put up posters today along A25 from Reigate to Redhill. Will check that posters that have been put up are still there. Dropped of a poster to Dog Warden yesterday as she rang to say she had been on holiday. Thank you again for all your help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Although they may already have the poster. Have sent / resent posters to vets in Redhill, Bletchingly,Horley, Tadworth, Banstead, Coulsdon, Warlingham, Betchworth, Horley, Epsom, Purley, Dorking, Oxted, Dorking, Epsom & Ewell etc. Plus RSPCA South Godstone, Last Chance, epsom Canine Rescue, Battersea, Animalline. Also found a few riding stables, kennels and catteries to send details. I'll search for all local dog clubs to send details to them. Are there any free papers delivered in Redhill that leaflets could be put inside or advert / article on front ??? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have handed more flyers to Pets at Home today - they seem only too willing to hand them out! Jessies mum is trying to register with DL, family has been in touch with Railtrack who said they liaise with our dog warden, Dog warden is also based at same site as council road clearers so hope we have that eventuallity covered. Owners will start to poster areas further afield - Merstham, Mercers Park area and Smallfield just in case.. We seem to have covered every other direction. If anyone has any other ideas please let us know!!!!!!! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tried to e-mail Gatton Park but it bounced back, anyone in that area? Royal Alexander & Albert School and the Golf Club there all need to be advised! Hope we hear something soon! More posters put up around East Surrey Hospital, Royal Earlswood Park, Kings Mill Lane. Handed one in to Scats for notice board, The Flying Scud pub and Ambulance Station. My local hairdresser has one to display. Am surprised this little lady hasn't been spotted, thought she might have found her way home when it started to pour with rain.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nikki (E.C.R.) is going to go over to the area with one of the rescue dogs she has , that is hopefully, particularly good at sniffing out holes/burrows etc. on an extended lead, obviously or there will be another one missing. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry I'm not able to help at the moment, but Nikki has circulated posters to friends in the area. There are three camps that need checking at Redhill, Outwood and Smallfield, suggests Lorraine can help with that, I assume that's the DW. Probably good idea mention the fact that she is spayed on the poster.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners don't think Jessie was taken, just escaped - could have been picked up since though. Have put some laminated posters aound Earlswood Lakes, handed out flyers to dog walkers this morning who all took extra to pass on. Th guys who maintain the Golf course took a load to pass around and a golfer took one yesterday to put up at the Golf Club. Have been to Pets at Home who have a wad of handouts to give customers also Dabners in Redhill. Once the rain has cleared need to get more posters up everywhere. Lets hope we get a sighting soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jessie went missing from the Back garden of a friends house in Hatchlands Rd, she actually lives in Emlyn Rd. She is a Jack Russel / Border Terrier cross adopted from the RSPCA about 6 months ago. Sounds as if she may have jumped the fence / gate perhaps after a squirrel? As soon as picture is available I will start printing. close to Redhill and Earlswood Commons where lots to keep this type of dog occupied. Local vets and Dog warden on board also RSPCA notified - have advised owners to speak to Battersea. Come on Jessie make you way home now. Jan Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Jessie well. Stay safe Jessie until you are found x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
