yes, Reggiemollieros, I too have been asking if, why, why not,
Fifi was not scanned asap & reunited via Her chip .
There were several owners - their friends & social media followers - of Stolen Spaniels all wondering if this Found Dog was - hopefully - their Beloved Stolen Pet .
Scanning much earlier would have avoided their heartache in praying then sadly realising She was not theirs , wouldn't it ?
on the other hand,with this recent 'Publicity ' hopefully their Missing Dogs will now be Shared by many more people who are now aware .
it breaks our hearts 💔😭

Such fantastic news. Amazing and gives hope to others. Do we know why her microchip was not picked up when she was scanned? The way the story is written implies it was not.

HAVE WE FOUND LITTLE FIFI??!!
On 22/1/17 last year a sweet little dog called FIFI (4 1/2 year old golden cocker spaniel bitch) was stolen from Yalding in Kent. The owners put posters up, made posts all over social media & it was even featured on GMTV.

On Saturday the dog warden picked up a very scared golden cocker running free on the A30 near Chard in Somerset about 4kgs under weight with gingivitis and bad teeth. The dog was brought to us at St Giles.

The lovely lady Kelly who found this dog initially, has tried to find the owner locally, but nobody has come forward.

We think this could be FIFI and the owner is on their way from London now to hopefully be reunited with their dog after 18 months.

Fingers (and paws) crossed this is FIFI and she is about to go home x

Great article, I really hope that the cruel person who carried out this theft finds one tiny ounce of kindness in them and do the right thing and either phone doglost anonymously and no questions asked someone will come and collect her from a mutual location, hand her in to a vet or phone doglost and bring the dog back and put it outside front door. No questions will be asked , no further action will be taken but this family and that gorgeous girl are heartbroken and missing their
Family and it is EXTREMELY CRUEL..... please hand her back xx
