Glad to see this lovely girl reclaimed, she looks well cared for, shame it seemes to have taken a while to sort out her location etc but hopefully all`s well that ends well.

I am delighted to read this update but why has it taken so long to inform the owner ?

Fantastic, how did this dog get tied up? Was it stolen from Sky's owner? When will they be reunited ? Great work everyone and thanks for update CJ

Dog was taken to kennels out of area and dog now to be returned to owner.

Surely this dog must have been taken to a secure dog unit that only the police will know where .I fear that this poor girls time will be up soon .

Ronmaxtye....so definitely in possession of the police at some stage!
Skywalker99
Mary, we concur on status dog unit who have prior on not notifying owners (see Beats entry).
Mary
Has anyone tried Battersea Dogs Home, Police may have driven her there. Has status dog unit been checked in case ended up there?
Unknown
It is not a kennel, it appears to be the "cell" in the back of a van
Skywalker99
And can't the met police contact the officers In Attendance and ask them what they did?
Skywalker99
Mary/CJ, if that was the case wouldn't the photo be of the dog tied to the tree, or no photo at all? It seems to be in a kennel....perhaps the Harrow dog warden would be able to recognise if it was his kennel?Last edited: 2017-01-26 16:39:04 by Skywalker99

Agree Mary could be the case - and that securing dog in case strayed onto a road.
However cannot locate where this dog is now. Sending twitter alerts. Met police say would go to council- Harrow council no record. So who has possession of this dog as owner wants to claim SKY back.
Mary
Just a thought. Harrow Stray Dogs page says they won't collect a dog not secured by the finder out of hours. Could the finder have innocently tied this dog to the tree and informed the warden of its whereabouts, expecting them to collect her before the temperature dropped. Not everyone is in a position to take a dog home with them. So maybe not a deliberate act of cruelty, just misguided.
Copied from Harrow Council website:-
We do not collect stray dogs that are not secured by the finder ie dogs that are roaming free in the street, outside office hours.
Juls
Looked on lost this does look like a match ? Hopefully fingers crossed x x

we have had contact by a neighbour of a person whose dog Sky went missing last Saturday and been searching for her..
We have photos of their missing dog and seems a match!
I made contact with met police to find out where the dog would be - was told Harrow have no facilities to keep a dog so the dog warden would be called and they gave me a number.
I phoned the number given of Harrow council and asked for dog warden but it seems no direct number only an email. I have therefore sent an email marked URGENT as still do not know if this dog is with them !I have also BCC the email of owner as deatils on petlog datbase.
If it belongs to this person in Harrow the dog is chipped and plenty of contact details of phone and mobiles plus address.
Until i get a reply I am unable to confirm if same dog or where this dog is currently being held.

this dog is identical to dog just listed as missing sky 110579

Poor dog. Hope it finds a better home and loving owner.

Oh that expression ... " what have I done?? " This girl looks lovely, I hope she finds a home where someone will love her; and as for whoever left her tied to a tree ... let`s hope there is plenty of CCTV around so that they can be traced and dealt with, they don`t deserve to have even one hair of this girl gggrrrr....

She looks so friendly. Hope she has a new home very soon. And a caring owner. Paws xd.
