- Don't think the owner is bothered
Just says he gets over an 8ft fence all the time
So lets wait and see
I will post if he gets out again as a few people are very upset by this - 2017-03-06 18:40 ClaireC
- Yes same here Hollieberry! Absolutely relieved to see safe though, and sincerely hope the owners take a lot more interest and care of their dog. They need to check their garden and make a lot more secure I feel and maybe ask themselves what if the dog had run out into a road and caused an RTA!
- 2017-03-06 17:56 Hollieberry
- Words fail me at this point in time .
- 2017-03-06 17:16 JulieH
- Pleased he was caught ,stay safe now fella x
- 2017-03-06 16:40 Juls
- So happy he has been caught and not out in the rain all the time , hope owners realise a lot of people were worried about him thinking he,s poorly and out , hope he is safe and they take care of him x x

- This dog was caught by a lady who took it to the vet
It was reunited with owner
Who just said it keeps getting out grrrrr - 2017-03-06 16:03 Mollychops
- Apparantly a local lady caught him,and owners were traced via vets , he is a jumper by all accounts, lets hope they secure the fence now

The lady that keeps me informed has been away but comes home today.
The lady is very concerned about this dog
So will hear something soon I hope - 2017-02-18 18:50 Hollieberry
- Any news or further sightings please ?
- 2017-02-18 08:42 nedk
- Best left to the experts hope this dog is caught soon for the sake of its healthx
- 2017-02-18 08:07 ClaireC
- I just feel too much info is given out by well meaning people and everybody then becomes an "expert" trying to think they are the ones that can catch the dog! Last edited: 2017-02-18 08:08:34 by ClaireC
- 2017-02-17 07:58 Patlucky
- I think the problem here was nothing to do with feeding
It was that he was scared off by the people who tried to catch him.
Then he was not seen again.
- 2017-02-16 17:27 Hollieberry
- Its just a shame this dog was not kept close by continuing to feed it in the coldest weather of the year so sad.
- 2017-02-16 17:22 Patlucky
- Just found out he has not been back .
Who knows he just might go back for food
Fingers crossed
- 2017-02-16 16:58 Patlucky
- I have text his owner Dilly Dax
- 2017-02-15 03:22 Dilly Dax
- Could this be Max 96394 ?
- 2017-02-14 17:30 Patlucky
- Ray it is your slowly slowly approach that does the trick.
No dog should be rushed I have rescued quite a lot from the streets
That was before I knew about Dog lost.
Think you have my number if you wish to phone me at anytime
Keep up your brilliant work
- 2017-02-14 15:02 mazholenk
- I wonder if this poor old soul is bertie?
- 2017-02-14 01:17 RAYDEDICOAT
- HI,by all accounts 2 other people were feeding him.. when i was down there i spoke to a few dog walkers who knew about him but had not seen him, your good lady was one of the feeders.I only ask for them NOT to feed when a pattern has been established so the animal in question is nice and hungry to enter the cage. Then the mind games can begin!!! I leave them in the trap for them to realize their greed has got them in that situation, I,ve not chased him or made him go into the trap, they cannot hurt themselve,s And i end up being the goody goody that SLOWLY AND QUIETLY gets them out of it.. works most of the time. as i,ve said before I,m no magician, I will give you a call tomorrow to see if the lady with a young child at number 75 has any news..keep up the good work people..THE ANIMALS are greatfull.. Ray.
- 2017-02-13 22:34 Patlucky
- RAY I know that about 5 people tried to catch him so think he was scared off
No she has not seen him I asked her yesterday if food could be put down again just to get him back to that garden so you can take over.
I can understand why you ask for food not to be put down.
You need him to feed from you .
So you can do the job of catching him properly.
Hope you don't mind food being put down is only until he comes back.
I know you are very busy I also know you are very good at what you do. - 2017-02-13 18:26 Hollieberry
- Is the lady whose garden the dog has been visiting started putting food down again ? Such a shame to stop feeding when the weather has been so bitterly cold. The dog could be visiting the garden when it feels safe through the night the lack of sightings are a worry as I feel that if it was scared away it would have been spotted elsewhere .
- 2017-02-12 17:17 ruthparky
- ....poor spaniel.... I've shared on FB and twitter..... hope someone comes forward or he's found and brought to safety.....
- 2017-02-12 01:43 RAYDEDICOAT
- WOW,where are all these poor things coming from?. just for the record yes i do ask that feeding stops 18 hours or longer, before i got down to this dog. Which i did get there on1/2/2017. but not a sign all night..and apparently there has been no sightings since..IF anyone knows anymore then let DOG LOST know..Running my Boarding Kennels and Hollytrees Animal Rescue Trust,I do have to wait for a well organised feeding pattern to be established..I am not a magician, as with ALL these case,s it has to be team work and every one needs to play there part....including the poor animal.PATLUCKY apparently your lady has not seen this dog either is this so? I will give you a ring tomorrow and thanks for keeping tabs on this one..RAY
- 2017-02-11 23:12 Patlucky
- I have asked for food to be put down again something with a nice smell just to get the dog in the garden.
However dog might not be so trusting after some people tried to catch him - 2017-02-11 23:06 Patlucky
- It was Ray who asked for food not to be put down.
Quite rightly to as he was dealing with it.
However a few well meaning people tried to catch it and it ran off.
I now know it has not been seen since.
So I think maybe food should be put down JUST to get the dog back and nothing else.
That way maybe Ray would kindly take over I know he is good at what he does.
The lady who I first spoke to could get NO help hence I posted it here.
She is very worried about this dog - 2017-02-11 14:14 Mollychops
- Ive tried getting hold of Ray, in the meantime Ive suggested the lady who was leaving food out continues to do so . Tinned dogfood/ tuna anything would be gratefully received from any Locals?? You can contact me via DL . Thanks everyone, I know Its frustrating , as soon as I hear more I will let you know
- 2017-02-11 11:38 ClaireC
- I do believe the Coord is dealing with this and I think I am right that Mollychops was liaising with the person who was feeding and also Ray. Because nothing is posted doesn't mean that nothing is being done I guess! Sometimes too much info is given out and actually causes more people to go out searching and has been known to push dogs away from the favoured area. Last edited: 2017-02-11 11:39:39 by ClaireC

- I agree this is getting desperate this dog needs catching put food down lay a trap at.night before its to latex

- 2017-02-10 21:33 Juls
- Can,t understand why not feeding dog to keep in garden area ? Hope they are now too cold out there and if dog looks poorly needs to be caught x
- 2017-02-09 20:32 Hollieberry
- Thank you ClaireC & Mollychops this poor dog really needs help specially as its getting colder .
- 2017-02-09 20:25 Mollychops
- I will endeavour to get this sorted out tomorrow.
- 2017-02-09 19:12 ClaireC
- I will see if local Coord knows anything further.
- 2017-02-09 19:05 Hollieberry
- Clairec it does seem strange that someone told the lady to stop feeding when we all know about keeping the dog in one area .Its such a shame when this dog clearly needed urgent help .
- 2017-02-09 18:37 ClaireC
- Ray is still involved but guessing he is out in Wales still! Out of curiosity but who told you stop feeding?
- 2017-02-09 14:25 Hollieberry
- Maybe if the lady put some really strong smelling food in the garden he may come back. Also he might be visiting at a time she does not notice. Is Raydedicoat not involved anymore ?
- 2017-02-08 23:27 Georgy Porgy
- Agree with Hollieberry. Perhaps leave food in field where seen & garden. Why couldn't trap have been used in garden?
- 2017-02-07 21:19 mazholenk
- Just spoken to finder of this spaniel. When she was told to stop feeding the dog she has not seen him since. Apparently a dog walker saw him in the field next to her, so she called ray but he did not answer or reply to a text she sent. This girl is so upset now as at least she saw the dog daily when she was feeding him/ herLast edited: 2017-02-07 21:19:54 by mazholenk

- Surely it would be better to feed to keep him close ,some very cold nights ahead I hope he finds food somewhere.

- Hope he is still around bless him ,looks too poorly to be out . Any updates x x

- I think people were asked not to feed but maybe food is needed just to get dog back in garden.
However I think some people tried to catch him and scared him off
Will try find out - 2017-02-06 13:03 Hollieberry

This is just this minute copied from the person I am in touch with that cares about this dog and having sleepless nights worrying
She has dogs of her own
He is in the garden normally about 5.30
Yes he's comes about then and goes in the back garden but I never see him leave because I have to come bk and put my daughter to bed. From what I've been told he leaves early morning

- on the case, but crap weather.got down here at 8-30 last night not a whisper of anything...not even a fox.did usual drag trails, caught a couple of dog walkers off track, hopefully heshe will appear again.. as long as its not a latch-key dog. Even if it is there is no way it should be out in this weather, I left at 9am.. but will be back as soon as pattern forms again.. off to try and get IZZY later down in wetter WALES.Ray.I have a good spy in the flats who will shout me when dog appears.

It was in a golf course for if I remember some months.
Ray was called in and bingo he caught the dog
So hopeful with this oneLast edited: 2017-02-01 20:27:57 by Patlucky - 2017-02-01 20:20 Unknown

- With respect cockerspaniellover no one is being slated. It's common sense. The page will be updated when there is news. As on every case leave advice to coordinators and people like Ray and Jenny. Too much advice gets confusing. Share the pages poster if your area. Thank you. Last edited: 2017-02-01 19:29:15

- GillyP and ClaireC - I do hope your comments aren't aimed at me... some people may not be so experienced in rescuing a dog but I was merely showing concern and as I am sure you can appreciate as fellow dog lovers we all want the same great result ( the dog brought to safety ) So surely we can ask his things are going and offer suggestions without being slatedLast edited: 2017-02-01 19:26:41

- Yes Claire. Let's not make it a spectator sport! Some have a lot to learn.
- 2017-02-01 19:09 ClaireC
- Please be patient and draw less attention to this dog to allow Ray to bring to safety is a good thought!

- It doesn't happen like that. It takes as long as it takes. Ray is on the case, which is brilliant. The dog couldn't be in better hands. Let him work his magic on the dog , and don't worry Cockerspaniellover . He will do all he can Iknow as Ray is the bestest !

- Good luck hoping good news soonx
- 2017-02-01 18:11 Patlucky
- I am not sure
It does not happen like that
A trap/cage will be put in place but not set
Food will be placed in it for a few or more days
Only when Ron is sure he can trap it then it will be set.
If I am wrong I am sure someone will correct me
Dog lost is the best

- I have asked everyone to stay back and that Ray and Molly will be down there
I remember Ray catching a dog around my area after it being in a golf course for ages
I know if anyone can do it he can
The dog was seen again today so it is staying where food is
Good luck Ray and Molly - 2017-02-01 16:12 cockerspaniellover
- Patlucky - it can be caught but probably 5 people bombarding the dog will make it bolt in terror. I think let Ray work his magic as this do potentially is ill and could be someones pet that they are missing xx
- 2017-02-01 16:05 Patlucky
- Mollychops the dog was not seen yesterday was worried that the 5 people scared the dog off
HOWEVER the dog has been seen this morning but wont be caught and will jump the fence
Thank you to Ray and yourself for caring xx - 2017-02-01 14:17 Mollychops
- Ray is coming over later , Ive given him the details I have
- 2017-02-01 10:50 ClaireC
- Molliemoo thats exactly what our aim is!
- 2017-02-01 10:36 cockerspaniellover
- *** PLEASE DO NOT CHASE THIS DOG*** we need to gain the dogs trust and keep him in the area as may need treatment. Leave Ray and Mollychops to expertly get this dog to safety. Patlucky please also advise any contact you have to stay back and not to chase xx
- 2017-02-01 09:40 Molliemoo
- If the dog is visiting the same garden regularly could someone set up and monitor, from a distance, a trap. If people try to physically catch the poor thing it may get frightened off.
- 2017-02-01 09:26 ClaireC
- I have alerted RayD and ive no doubt will liaise with Mollychops our experienced coord who will bring this dog to safety. Please DONT hunt it down as it will be frightened away and not get the necessary treatment it needs. Do please listen!
- 2017-02-01 09:05 JulieH

- 2017-02-01 08:49 Patlucky
- Mollychops will post what I just copied and this was a day or two ago
Be great to catch this one after yesterday's mob hunt. Think it needs a sit 5 people in a garden no one could grab him I think the words were. I know they mean well but down and packet of cheddars to make friends.
This dog was not seen yesterday
- 2017-02-01 07:34 Mollychops
- I hope the 5 people trying to catch the dog are being sensible and using a softly softly approach. We DO NOT want him chased out the area where he is obviously confident to feed, thanks !My contact lives opposite and is doing really well, monitoring and leaving food down, and keeping him there, hopefully Ray will be able to come and trap, although as my contact has been able to get reasonably close, it may be at some point she can win his trust and be able to catch him
- 2017-02-01 00:08 Juls

The poor person trying to feed this dog was tearing her hair out.

- 2017-01-31 20:58 cockerspaniellover
- Yeah it's an issue Patlucky as the dog doesn't appear well and being out and no love and care is going to kill it. hopefully someone will help as no dog deserves a life like that especially when the dog is there to be caught and could be someone's pet they have lost or had stolen. There are helpers all over so one must be able to helpLast edited: 2017-02-01 09:52:02

- Mollychops I will alert RayD as he is not too far away from there.
- 2017-01-31 20:13 Mollychops
- The Spaniel is feeding from this garden on a daily basis, or is seen in the road outside regularly , and has been for around 2 weeks now.Around the back of the flats is an empty kennel and Ive suggested the food gets left gradually nearer and nearer and into the kennals, where it may be possible to contain the dog.I will try and find a local helper who maybe able to assist with this. When approached, the dog moves away, but the fact he is feeding in a garden in broad daylight suggests he may be wiling to be caught hopefully . Please do not chase him. He needs to be kept here so he can be caught

- Left a message to call me with the lady in whose garden the dog has been sighted

- Shame that idea , maybe could still ring and say dog looks very ill and try and keep it in garden with some dry bedding in shelter as might stay x

- Put it myself on lost and found Herefordshire page as no one appears to be wanting to help this poor ill dog despite the lady pleading for help. I expect on this weather if she/he is ill she won't survive the night!!

- I believe the RSPCA will not come out unless animal has been caught .

- What about the local rspca in that area might come out just a thought x

- Poor dog I hope someone can help it, perhaps if someone could explain to the kind lady how to gain the dogs trust would be a big help.
