Yes, it's two years today, with about one hour to go. I'm off to walk the same route - having done it many times since - with a lump in my throat. Never forgotten.

Heartbroken for you Juliet that after all your efforts Roxy & Milo still aren't home, we will never lose hope though, have bumped their pages for the anniversary, shared & tweeted x

Roxy my smart, smart girl, who knew everything, could find me anywhere, who was my companion every moment she could be. It's a year today she disappeared with Milo. What I wouldn't give for one of her warbling telling offs, or to find her sitting by the chicken run or the car to go to school or outside my office door because she knew what ought to happen every hour of the day. She wasn't a dog to have got lost, someone has her and Milo and I'd give anything to have them both back. Reward still stands if anyone happens to read this and decides it's time to say something.

Dearest Juliet, I apologise if I came across as snappy, I know you've moved heaven & earth to try & find your furbabys. It's knowing the terrible pain & anguish that you & your family are being forced to endure, every moment of every day, that turns my frustration into pure rage!! But my anger is realy ONLY for the thieves responsible for inflicting such cruelty.
I believe Milo & Roxy are still together - and I also think the reason they've not been 'released' is because - as you said yourself, Roxy is a VERY clever pooch - and no doubt has a really special personality to boot.
You have so many wonderful people searching for you & with you - with so much positive energy - I believe it WILL bring them home.
Hang in there Juliet -
((((Hugs)))) Jan xx

I'm Roxy's owner.
I can only say the police took us seriously, eventually. The rural liaison team have been great. Know that we did everything we could to try and find our dogs.
The circumstances of Roxy and Milo going missing were different to other NN7 dogs: I've been in touch with many owners and shared 'intelligence' wherever we can, in Northants and further afield.
I knocked on many, many doors in all sorts of places, contacting everyone and anyone who might have an idea, an in. I mean MANY doors of all types. Literally hundreds of people. Favours were called in by people who had connections. Many people helped me, including traveller liaison officers, a friend in the RSPCA, people locally and further afield. Lisa of doglost, who was my sanity in many dark hours, knows more than I could share online, in the hope it might help others. We offered (still do) a £5000 reward, very overtly. People were incredibly kind in responding to our enormous poster and social media campaign and giving us information, some of which was worthwhile for the police. You're right: too many dogs stolen, missing, in NN7 and all over the UK. But we can't put it all at the door of the same people.
We still search and watch for links and I would do anything I could to help anyone else, who has gone through the unbelievable pain of losing their dogs.
I only hope one day that my Roxy, who was the smartest terrier that ever ripped through the countryside, and could find me ANYWHERE, will one day do just that, dragging her best friend Milo behind her, as always.
Sydneysmum
I'm confused, to say the least. Perhaps someone could enlighten me.
I have huge respect for our Police force -
but I wondered why the Police haven't recovered Milo & Roxy yet.
I read their 'appeal' to the public for information regarding the theft of these fur'babys - but why?
Police covering the NN7 area already know 'how' they were taken - and they know who took them as well!!
I'm not being malicious or anything but the figures don't lie.

Over a period of just 4 weeks
(31.3.17 - 2.5.17)
A total of 47 dogs were stolen from the NN7 area. Nearly ALL of them were 'Spaniels' !!!
8 of them were pregnant!!!
Some mothers were stolen WITH their pups - others were wrenched away from their new pups.
23 dogs were stolen from one 'kennel' alone in NN7.
And all within 4 weeks??
So many 'Spaniels' vanishing from the same area is NOT a coincidence.
Maybe I've got it wrong - but figures relating to NN7 & NN4 are much much higher than neighbouring Post Codes & other locations in the U.K.

I live on the South Coast & have never been to Northampton.
But I'd lay money that there is a 'resident' Traveler's Site in the NN7 or NN4 areas.
They stayed for 4 weeks - stole 47 dogs & then moved on. And in my heart I believe Roxy & Milo went with them.

I appreciate that handling the Travellers can be quite scary for some inexperienced, chicken young officers. But their superiors will know that if you don't approach Travellers the right way - you will get nowhere.
Do the Police have a 'link' with these travellers? If not - WHY not??

If I were with Milo & Roxys mum - Id go straight to the Travellers site & offer cash (no questions asked).
Which is what I thought the police would have advised Mum to do - BEFORE they moved on.

Police appeal issued by Northamptonshire Police: "Two dogs have been stolen while out walking with their owner on a quiet country road in Northamptonshire.
Police have today issued photos of the two dogs, Roxy and Milo, which went missing on the walk between Easton Maudit and Yardley Hastings, some time between 8.45am and 9.15am on Tuesday, January 31
The victim was out walking when the two dogs went on ahead, but they were nowhere to be seen when he arrived at his car. Extensive searching of the surrounding area has not found the pets and police now believe the dogs were picked up in a vehicle and removed from the location.
Milo is a seven-year-old neutered male, white with a tan face and a few spots. Roxy is a six-year-old neutered female, white with half tan and black face and a brown patch on the right hind. Both are microchipped and have docked tails.
Anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555111.

It absolutely infuriates me when you cant even take your dogs a walk without someone allegedly taking them. You know your own dogs, same as me, if mine disappeared on a walk I know they would come back to me if they could. I hope you get Milo and Roxy back very soon xxx
