Reggie is still missing, there are unconfirmed sightings of a dog matching Reggie’s description with a person and later a report of a stray dog matching Reggie’s description being handed in to vets which is being investigated by the appropriate people. Reggie’s microchip is not registered & therefore both local authorities & those for surrounding areas are aware of Reggie. As Reggie remains missing & in light of the information available, Reggie is now considered stolen. This has been reported to Hertfordshire Constabulary & a CRN issued. This has been sent to the Police Co-ordinator & additional alerts requested from admin to the relevant areas. I have bumped Reggie’s page & we are looking to have a renewed push on social media in view of this information x

I have had a long conversation with Reggie's owner this morning to establish exact position, she has already been in contact with a lot of people & organisations in a bid to find out if the found dog was Reggie. A lot of confusion surrounds that 3 different council districts & therefore dogs wardens are involved. The vets in Enfield have been helpful, however they no longer have the dog & owner doesn't have microchip number so it is impossible for them to confirm if the dog handed in was Reggie but they are helping owner as much as they can to unravel this. The dog warden for the owner's home council is also helping the family & contacting others to try to get answers. The dog handed in to Medivets was found in Cheshunt which is a different council again and a different council from that which Medivets is in. We are just now checking that all possible options & avenues are explored to ensure that anywhere that the dog may have been taken to has been contacted so we can determine if this was or was not Reggie x

I am trying to get help right now from a dog rescue lady who knows a few things on how it works and is in the area
Hollieberry
Surely the vet knows what date the dog warden collected the dog & that the dog warden has a record book I would ask to see that .I hope Reggie is located soon .
Skywalker99
I'd agree Patlucky, needs help form someone who knows their way round the system...and can put pressure on the dogwarden to check their records better....
BigGSDPatlucky
Think this lady needs help ASAP
Skywalker99
Thanks Lisa...shame the dogwarden has amnesia...guess the owner will need to find out which rescues they use after this length of time.
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Skywalker, it wasn't clear sorry that she has already spoken to the vets, I understand now, in which case getting the microchip number should shed some light, as I mentioned they will have a record if anyone has scanned Reggie & will be able to say who & when x
Skywalker99
Lisa, the owner says she has called the vets (in her post below), vets said it went to dogwarden, dogwarden denies....so I am struggling to see how calling the vets directly again woudl help?
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Skywalker, I would suggest calling the vets directly, sometimes they reunite dogs directly & don't notify dog warden, although this isn't my area so I don't have any knowledge of the vets specifically - however in anycase, if the microchip number can be obtained then the database will still have a record if scanned even though details weren't recorded at the time so this will clarify the situation x
Skywalker99
And any advice on what to do about the fact that dog warden has developed amnesia? Vet says gone to warden, warden says no...
DogLostLisa P - Regional Co-ordinator, Central
Hi Julie, if you contact the implanter/vet who originally microchipped Reggie for you, they should have a record of the microchip number, then you can call Petlog or whichever database the implanter used with the chip number to let them know your details, they will also be able to tell you if he has been scanned since he has been missing x
Skywalker99
Admin, any suggestions on how owner can clrify? have all surrounding dog wardens been contacted?
julie
His chip is not registered I lost paperwork in moving, a dog matching his description was handed in to Enfield medivets, aparantly handed to local dog wardens who have no evidence of him. I am so frustrated.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
good luck...but surely they would have scanned for a chip?
BigGSDPatlucky
Admin can you read this please
