When checking outbuildings make sure he isn`t hiding behind somethoing within, as he can be shy. Cats are known for keeping very still, and quiet in some circumstances. They are experts at it

Presume neutered? Check all, outbuildings in case shut in. Put some food which he really loves into his dish, and call him; early days yet. Wipe his scent on all garden fences, gates, doors too. As he is very food orientated warm up some chicken in the microwave as the smell may tempt him back. He may be trying to find his previous address, Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too. He could be hiding somewhere as cats hate change of any kind. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as Doglost. Paws xd.
