Possible sighting in Beanhill Road, Ducklington (reported on Spotted Witney about 12:50). He really needs to avoid the Ducklington roundabout and to stop crossing the A415. May find shelter at allotments both on Curbridge Road side and down by Ducklington church.Last edited: 2017-02-07 13:14:32 by Catwhothinksitsadog

Family are still out searching, a lot of lovely locals have been in touch with owner to offer help today, they are also doing a great job of raising awareness so that people are looking out for him & know not to chase him x

Jayelle, a dog running scared goes at full speed for a while then slows down and with any luck settles into a territory which has shelter, water and somewhere to scavenge or hunt. At that point they tend to turn in the same direction until they have done a circuit which can be like a rough triangle.

When someone with a lot of experience has the time, it would be helpful to know what sort of behaviour to expect from a dog which has been recently relocated and then runs off, presumably in search of previous owner or home. I have read about the triangle pattern of movement but am guessing this would apply to a dog which has been lost from an established home and is on its way back there?
In this circumstance, do they cast an ever widening circle in the hope of crossing a familiar scent?Last edited: 2017-02-06 19:39:03 by BorderCol

He is covering a lot of ground & from the sightings reported he must have crossed (underneath I'd imagine) the A40 at least twice so it is really important that he is found asap - owner would appreciate help from anyone in the area able to, if spotted please do not chase him x
