Owners lost another dog about 18 months ago. It was scruffys mum, she was chipped but have never heard anything and she has not come back. They didnt know about DL at the time so have advised we get her onsite too.

Admin - I have spoken to owner and she is having problems registering. i have advised to send email to admin asking to authorise account so they can post onsite as they would like to answer questions and update page.

Can you let me know where posters have been put up and i will cover another area? Post back on here...no phone at the moment... Scuffys owner...hope he comes back safely. i know you ,ust be heartbroken. But keep up hope.

owner and parents have been out most of the day looking for scruffy and postering. No sightings as yet. Owners will keep us posted and i have told them i am here if i am needed.

Spoke to owner this morning and re-iterated Yasa's points. Have emailed owner my contacts list. I've emailed posters to DW - Basildon, Benfleet, Braintree, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Clacton, Epping, Harlow, Havering, Maldon, Newham, Rochford, Southwark, Thurrock, Tower Hamlets, Uttlesford, Waltham Forest. Misc - Resting Pets, Fancy Fido, Kennels - Bareham, Chalet, Chingford, Gemini, Ladybird, London & Essex, Normandale, Novem, Wallace, Wanderers. Media - BBC Radio Essex, Time FM. Rescues - Battersea, Chance Pixies, Dogs Trust, Mayhew, Mistley, Mutts in Distress, NAWT, Springer Rescue, Terrier Rescue, Wood Green. Vets - Animal Ark, Ardmore, Companion Care at Beckton, Chelmsford, Harlow & Romford, Elmhouse, EVHG, Goddards Group, House & Jackson, Medivet Southend, PVGs, Tiptrees & Wylies. Also spoke to Bashers Mum (it's the same area but different postcode). Emailed her a poster and she will let all her contact know too. (Thanks Teri)x May need help faxing as owner doesn't have one and mine is broken. Will update if I hear anything.

Diane, I received a pic this afternoon that we have been unable to tie up. Jayne thinks it could be Scruffy. He looks like a yorkie at first glance with a tan face with black snout and ears ! On a second look the dog could be bigger than a yorkie......

Scruffy went missing from where hainault forest meets the golf course in hainault forest. The car park on Lambourne road opposite the Camelot pub leads to this part of the forest. I have sent pic to admin and owners sent pic to your phone Jayne.

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Scruffy well. Stay safe Scruffy, until you are home x
