- Other Info very vocal and appears nervous but not unfriendly or vicious. she is not familiar with the area at all. I parked the car at the café/shops and she went missing at the far end overlooking Winchelsea. Dissapeared into thick shrub in the dunes. have told the harbour master, golf club, rye vets and dog warden

- wow, was so happy to see Rosie's page in the blue! Well done for getting those posters up! I knew she would be able to make her way back there and she's a clever girl to do so. (Usually a dog will follow their own scent trail back)
Well done and many thanks to the lady who took her in and let you know.
Welcome home Rosie :) Love a happy ending!
(PS Please would you make sure the posters are taken down! It's the best job of all!) - 2017-02-20 15:26 Doglover

- A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped me to find Rosie. The advice given has been invaluable and I have learned a great deal. Rosie was heard howling last night very near the car park, so she had made her own way back even though she didn't know the area. A lady coaxed her into her house with food this morning and called the dog warden but a neighbour of hers had seen the posters I had printed and stuck to footpath entrances, and in the car park. (many posters all around starting from Rye) So ultimately it was thanks to the posters. Its been a traumatic weekend and I don't fancy a beach walk for at least 5 years! I was very reassured knowing so many people were there to assist. Heartfelt thanks again from Tracy and ofc Rosie XxX

- Tracy, are you from the area? Is it likely that Rosie would know her way home or is she familiar with walking in the area?
- 2017-02-19 18:01 Hollieberry
- Tracy keep going back to where you lost her they often return to that spot. Fingers crossed you find her soon .

- That advice and a lot more has been given in our emails skywalker99. I have not advised to contact k9tracker yet as it's possible that Rosie has been picked up and handed to the Dog Wardens who will only open tomorrow. Also k9tracker is usually very busy with a waiting list. Last edited: 2017-02-19 17:28:21 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

- tracy: I'm so sorry to see that Rosie is missing. I have sent you our Doglost email advice which will help you with your search.
Most important is to get as many posters up as possible so everyone is aware that Rosie is lost.
I have shared to Doglost East Sussex and my timeline as well as to several local Fbk pages inc Rye Harbour Lifeboat Station, Marsh Watch Dog Lovers, Rye nature reserve, Camber Sands holiday park, Rye Harbour sailing club etc
This area is, I think, covered by Shepway Dog Wardens and I have sent you a link to their page in the email. There is an out of hours tel number you can call.
Please try to get posters out all along the sands (especially in car parks) at the Golf Club, in cafes, the Kitesurf Centre and anywhere and everywhere that a lot of people will see them.
Please would you let us know if Rosie is familiar with the area and whether you live nearby (or were you visiting?)
Please keep us updated on where you have searched and postered so others can cover different areas.
Very best of luck with your search for Rosie. - 2017-02-19 16:37 Sue - onestopalldogs

- As the weather is so mild, I am hoping there will be a lot of people walking today and she will be found quickly.
